Hybrid cast vehicle assembly with structural reinforcements
A hybrid structural assembly for a motor vehicle includes a casting and a structural inlay. The casting includes a plurality of structural components joined together in a casting process to form structural load paths and extending in a plurality of directions in a 3D space. The casting includes a cast-allowable alloy material. The structural inlay is secured to at least one of the structural components. The structural inlay includes a material having at least one of a higher ductility and a higher toughness than the cast-allowable alloy material.
Body Structure for a Motor Vehicle
A body structure for a motor vehicle includes two inner sills having an undulating cross section, a floor panel arranged in the transverse direction of the vehicle between the inner sills, and two funnel-shaped force-introducing elements which are connected in respective front sill regions to the inner sills and widen in a funnel-shaped manner transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and, behind respective front wheelhouse regions, are supported on the rear side by their respective widened end region on a bulkhead of the body structure. A motor vehicle includes a body structure of this kind.
Front vehicle body structure
An embodiment front vehicle body structure includes an underbody, an upper body coupled to the underbody, a front cowl disposed in front of the upper body, and a cowl support unit connected to the front cowl through a front pillar and a front side member of the upper body. An embodiment cowl support unit includes a cowl lower cross member connected to a front of the front side member along a vehicle width direction, a cowl lower support connected to the cowl lower cross member and the front cowl, and a cowl upper side support connecting an upper portion of the front pillar and the front cowl.
VEHICLE SUBSTRUCTURE PREVENTING DASH PANEL FROM DEFORMATION TOWARD COMPARTMENT
A vehicle substructure includes: a floor panel placed in a tense state between a floor tunnel and a side sill; a front pillar extending in a vehicle up-down direction from a front end of the side sill. The vehicle substructure further includes: a lower dash panel arranged at a front portion of the floor panel; and a lower dash crossmember extending in a vehicle width direction at a lower end of the lower dash panel. The lower dash crossmember has an inner end in the vehicle width direction thereof coupled to the floor tunnel and an outer end in the vehicle width direction thereof coupled to the front pillar.
Front body structure
A front vehicle body structure includes a front mounting bracket and a front side upper member that is connected to the front mounting bracket. The front side upper member includes an upper member upper surface that is inclined upward and rearward of the vehicle body. A front flange is formed downward from the upper member upper surface and is connected to the front mounting bracket.
Vehicle body structure
A vehicle body structure includes a body side section (1) configured of a first composite component (10) and a body lower section (2) configured of a second composite component (20). Each of the first and second composite components (10, 20) comprises a metal plate (11, 21) and a fiber reinforced thermoplastic portion (12, 22) that contains discontinuous fibers. The fiber reinforced thermoplastic portion (12) of the first composite component (10) includes a lining layer formed on the metal plate (11) and reinforcing ribs raised from the lining layer. The fiber reinforced thermoplastic portion (22) of the second composite component (20) includes a planar portion (24) infilled in an opening (23) opened on the metal plate 21. The discontinuous fibers in the fiber reinforced thermoplastic portion (22) of the second composite component (20) are longer than the discontinuous fibers in the fiber reinforced thermoplastic portion (12) of the first composite component (10).
Partial body for an at least part-electrically operated motor vehicle, and motor vehicle
A partial body for an at least part-electrically operated motor vehicle includes a first receiving portion for a traction battery and a second receiving portion for an electric drive unit. The receiving portions are arranged behind one another with respect to a vehicle longitudinal direction and are arranged at least partially at the same height with respect to a vehicle vertical direction. Here, a body transverse wall, which is of double-walled design at least in certain portions and which extends in the vehicle vertical direction and vehicle transverse direction, is arranged between the first and second receiving portion such that, in the event of an accident-induced displacement of the drive unit in the direction of the traction battery. The drive unit can be supported on the body transverse wall in a targeted manner.
DASHBOARD PANEL VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE WITH ENHANCED LOAD PATH CONNECTIVITY
