Since a recess 11f configured to house an in-vehicle component 37 is formed on an outer surface of a first wall portion 11c of a FRP vehicle body panel 24, a metallic reinforcing member 32 is fitted to the recess 11f and is fixed by adhesive, the reinforcing member 32 can compensate for a decrease in strength of the first wall portion 11c caused by the recess 11f. Since an outer peripheral portion of the reinforcing member 32 is mechanically fastened to the vehicle body panel 24 with rivets 33 and 35, the outer peripheral portion serving as a starting point of peeling of an adhesive is reinforced by mechanical fastening so that the vehicle body panel 24 and the reinforcing member 32 can be firmly integrated.

A rear section upper face of a front side frame is connected to a front face of an inclined wall of a dashboard panel. An attachment bracket that is provided to a rear section lower face of the front side frame and that has a triangular shape in side view supports a support of a subframe. An outrigger is provided that has a vehicle width direction inner end connected to a front wall and a lower wall of the attachment bracket and to a vehicle width direction outer wall of the front side frame, and that has a vehicle width direction outer end connected to a front end of a side sill.

LOWER STRUCTURE OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE

To simultaneously avoid contact with a front subframe and secure a connection space for a harness, a front subframe has a right and left pair of side frame sections, each of which is located in front of and below a dashboard. A converter and a vehicle component are provided behind a rear end portion of one of the side frame sections. The converter is arranged along a lower surface of a floor panel, and the vehicle component is arranged adjacent to rear of the converter. The converter is arranged in a vertically inclined state, a front-end portion of the converter is located higher than the rear end portion of the side frame section, and a rear end portion of the converter is located lower than the vehicle component.

A vehicle frame may comprise a plurality of interlocking tab and slot frame members forming a three-dimensional structure. A custom vehicle frame construction may be specified, designed and built based on a purchaser's selection. The three-dimensional structure may comprise a tab and slot panel to which additional tab and slot frame members are attached. The tab and slot frame members may have an attachment device disposed thereon for attachment of a vehicle component selected by the purchaser of the vehicle frame.

AUTOMOBILE BODY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AUTOMOBILE BODY
20170253274 · 2017-09-07 ·

An automobile body and a method for manufacturing the same is provided in which a substantially rectangular windshield joining face is formed by a front roof arch, a front portion of roof side rails and a dash panel upper of a lower skeleton. Since the upper skeleton and the lower skeleton can be separated, there is the problem that a gap occurs between lower ends of the roof side rails of the upper skeleton and the vehicle width direction outer ends of the dash panel upper of the lower skeleton, and the windshield joining face is discontinuous. Extension parts are provided inward in the vehicle width direction from the lower ends of the roof side rails, and the vehicle width direction inner ends of the extension parts are connected to the vehicle width direction outer ends of the dash panel upper, thereby eliminating discontinuity of the windshield joining face.

BODY COMPONENT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE

A plate-shaped body component for a motor vehicle has a planar core zone, a planar edge zone and a first intermediate zone, which is set off from the core zone and from the edge zone by at least one step each. The core zone and the edge zone are deflected against the first intermediate zone in opposite directions of a surface normal of the first intermediate zones.
