Monocoque vehicle structure

Each of a monocoque body and a subframe is integrally formed of reinforced resin. The subframe has a bottom portion and an upstanding portion. The bottom portion is fixed to the lower portion of the rear wall of the monocoque body and extends rearward of the vehicle. The upstanding portion extends upward from the bottom portion. An engine is directly mounted on the rear surface of the upstanding portion.

The front structure includes shock-absorber housings disposed between the front side of a dash panel and the lower end of a front windshield glass, shock-absorber mounts coupled to the upper sides of the shock-absorber housings, and a cross member that extends in the lateral direction of the vehicle while being spaced apart from the dash panel in the forward direction. The cross member has a rear surface portion, and each of the opposite ends of the rear surface portion is coupled to the front end portion of a respective one of the shock-absorber housings.

The disclosure herein provides a technique for protecting a power source arranged under a floor panel against rearward movement of an intermediate shall upon a frontal collision to a vehicle. A vehicle body structure may include: a dash panel; a floor panel connected to a lower part of the dash panel; a power source arranged under the floor panel; a dash crossmember arranged at the lower part of the dash panel and extending along a vehicle lateral direction; and an intermediate shaft penetrating the dash panel and passing forward of the dash crossmember. An upper end of the intermediate shaft may be connected to a steering column shall and a lower end of the intermediate shaft may be connected to an input shaft of a steering gear unit. The intermediate shaft may include a weak portion.

A utility vehicle includes a vehicle interior, a front panel that defines a front side of the vehicle interior and extends in a vertical direction, a floor panel that defines a lower side of the vehicle interior and extends from a lower side of the front panel to a rear side, and is provided with a tunnel portion extending in a front-rear direction on a center side in a vehicle width direction, a propeller shaft that is disposed in the front-rear direction in the tunnel portion and extends to a front side with respect to the front panel, and a cover member that covers space between the propeller shaft and the tunnel portion on a front side of the tunnel portion.

A vehicle body structure and a vehicle are provided. The vehicle body structure includes a front longitudinal beam, a front compartment crossbeam, and a dash panel. The front longitudinal beam includes a left front longitudinal beam and a right front longitudinal beam that are disposed at an interval in a transverse direction. The front compartment crossbeam is mounted on the left front longitudinal beam and the right front longitudinal beam, and is located in front of the dash panel. A projection area of the front compartment crossbeam on the dash panel in an X direction at least partially covers a projection of a preset area surrounding a pedal center point on the dash panel in the X direction.

The reinforcement panel is disposed outward in the vehicle width direction of an innermost portion in the vehicle width direction in the arch-shaped portion.

A front body of a vehicle includes left and right front side members extending forward from a left end part and a right end part of a lower end of a dash panel, an upper back beam connecting front ends of the front side members and extending in a width direction of the vehicle, left and right front center members extending forward from a central left part and a central right part of the lower end of the dash panel, a lower back beam connecting front ends of the front center members and extending in the width direction of the vehicle, and first and second support members, the first support member connecting the left front side member and the left front center member and the second support member connecting the right front side member and the right front center member.
