20200247488 · 2020-08-06 · ·

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a trailer having a frame suitable for transporting an item. The trailer includes a boom which may be raised from the trailer and support cables used to move the pipe from the trailer to a storage or other location. The boom is raised and lowered by a hydraulic system comprising a travel height truss. The travel height truss may comprise two portions, pivotably connected to each other, one portion pivotably connected to the frame and the other pivotably connected to the boom. The travel height truss provides greater leverage than would otherwise be available for the maximum size and weight of the load available for a given (fixed) maximum length of trailer. In this manner, the boom frame can be raised to greater heights, while maintaining horizontal distance, than otherwise. Methods of use are also disclosed.

A transport system can employ a transport assembly with a main support member attached to a mounting connection, a tow connection, a suspension, and a horizontal articulation mechanism. The horizontal articulation mechanism may be configured to raise the suspension of a ground surface along a first direction and move the main support member in a second direction with the first direction being orthogonal to the second direction.

LOW PROFILE DUMP TRAILER

A dump trailer comprising a goose neck adapted for removable coupling to a tractor unit and a dropped frame joined to the goose neck and extending rearwardly of the goose neck. A plurality of trailer wheel and axle assemblies are joined to the bottom of the rear of the dropped frame. Each of the plurality of trailer wheel and axle assemblies has left and right wheels suitable for highway travel. An open bed is joined to the top of the dropped frame for receiving cargo. The open bed extends below the goose neck and has a front and a rear opening for permitting discharge of the cargo from the open bed.

FRONT HEADER TUBE AND PIN BOX

An upper deck frame assembly for a trailer chassis includes a flushed floor section defining a first floor height, and a header section, with a header, forward of the flushed floor section and defining a second floor height above the first floor height. A towing assembly may be secured to the header. A reduced size header section increases usable floor space, and the towing assembly is securable to the header.

Lift assist for a truss
10689924 · 2020-06-23 · ·

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a trailer having a frame suitable for transporting an item, such as an oil drilling pipe. The trailer includes a boom which may be raised from the trailer and support cables used to move the pipe from the trailer to a storage or other location. The boom is raised and lowered by a hydraulic system comprising a primary cylinder and a secondary cylinder, each of which is attached to a lift assist assembly. The lift assist assembly provides greater leverage than would otherwise be available for the maximum size and weight of the load available for a given (fixed) maximum length of trailer. In this manner, the boom can be raised to greater heights, while maintaining horizontal distance, than otherwise. The lift assist assembly may be incorporated into an original manufacture or added in a retrofit application. Methods of use are also disclosed.
