DYNAMIC LOAD DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM FOR ADD-ON-AXLE TRAILERS

An add-on trailer is provided with a computer control system for automatically or semi-automatically monitoring and controlling the load equalizing function and preferably other functions of the add-on trailer. Display and control software is loaded into a portable computer such as a tablet or personal digital assistant (PDA), with wireless connection to the computer control system in the add-on trailer, such that the computer control system can be operated remotely.

TRAILER STABILIZER

A trailer stabilizing device for stabilizing a parked freight trailer, the trailer stabilizing device comprising a frame separate from the support frame of the parked freight trailer, the stabilizing device frame having mounted thereto wheels and a hitch, the stabilizing device including a repositionable jack.

Single point hitch bed system

A single point hitch bed system includes a base frame mounted on a truck bed, the base frame having a front end positioned towards the front of the truck, a rear end opposite the front end, and lateral side ends; a stationary upper deck permanently attached above the base frame; and an extendable lower deck positioned between the stationary upper deck and base frame, wherein the extendable lower deck is mounted via a rail system that allows the extendable lower deck to be extended to an adjustable length. An access hole is positioned towards the front of the stationary upper deck to allow access to a single point hitch that may be permanently secured to the truck. The single point hitch may receive removable components for securing cargo or towed apparatus to the truck. Auxiliary anchor points are positioned atop the base frame, laterally to the stationary upper deck.

Underlift Fork-Air Suspension Coupling Unit

An underlift fork-air suspension coupling unit for towing a semi-trailer truck having an air-ride suspension is provided. The coupling unit includes a substantially cylindrical device including a first end configured to engage with the air suspension slot beneath the air springs of certain air-ride suspensions of semi-trailer trucks, a second end configured to engage with a receiver of an underlift towing device, and a collar coaxially disposed between the first and second ends for separating the first and second ends. The coupling unit replaces underlift forks that are conventionally used with underlift towing devices. By specifically engaging with the air suspensions slot of these air-ride suspensions, rather than the axle as with the underlift forks, the coupling unit avoids the potential for the underlift device to bottom out against the underbody of the semi-trailer truck to be towed.

Adapters for pneumatic braking systems

Systems, methods, and apparatuses for engaging, lifting, and moving objects such as wheeled cargo trailers are provided. In one embodiment, a mobile apparatus includes a transport mechanism, a frame, and one or more lift assemblies. The lift assemblies may be adjusted using one or more attached actuators that position the lift assemblies and/or components thereof for engaging and lifting an object. The transport mechanism may be autonomously operated. A vision system may be used to locate and identify objects and/or guide the mobile apparatus into position to engage and lift the objects. An adapter for a pneumatic braking system of a wheeled cargo trailer is also provided. The adapter provides a pneumatic attachment for a pressurized air source that is separate from a glad hands connector attached to the braking system.

Driverless transport vehicle and method for moving a semi-trailer using a driverless transport vehicle

The invention relates to a driverless transport vehicle for moving a semi-trailer. The driverless transport vehicle comprises a coupling device for automatically coupling the driverless transport vehicle to a kingpin of the semi-trailer. The invention also relates to a method for moving a semi-trailer using a driverless transport vehicle.
