Fifth wheel hitch comfort system
A fifth wheel hitch assembly for mounting to a towing vehicle and receiving a kingpin of a trailer incorporating a comfort assembly is provided. The fifth wheel hitch assembly may comprise a kingpin receiving assembly attached to a mounting rail via a comfort assembly. The comfort assembly may include one or more pivot bushing assemblies, as well as vertically adjustable, anti-rattle attachment systems. These attachment systems may include a cam assembly and/or a T-pin assembly.
Security lock system for a fifth wheel hitch
A security lock system for a fifth wheel hitch is system that restricts access to the connection between a fifth wheel hitch and a truck bed. The system includes a receiver lock, a fifth wheel hitch, a first sleeve, a second sleeve, a lock engagement channel, and a key. The receiver lock shields a securing mechanism of the fifth wheel hitch. The receiver lock connects with a base frame of the fifth wheel hitch through the lock engagement channel. The first sleeve and the second sleeve uphold the receiver lock against the lock engagement channel. A retractable locking bolt and a locking assembly are connected to each other with the key. The retractable locking bolt and the locking assembly remain stationary as the retractable locking bolt includes a first tubular body and a first stopper, and the locking assembly includes a second tubular body and a second stopper.

Fifth wheel hitch with latching system
The present disclosure relates generally to a fifth wheel hitch and, more particularly, to a fifth wheel hitch having a latching system that is viewable to a user. In another instance, the present disclosure relates to a fifth wheel hitch having a latching system that permits a user to restrict movement of the fifth wheel hitch in at least two different planes of motion.

BREAKAWAY FIFTH WHEEL COUPLING
A breakaway fifth wheel coupling may couple a semi-tractor to a semi-trailer. In one embodiment, a breakaway fifth wheel coupling may include a top plate, a bottom brace, and a release mechanism that releasably attaches the top plate to the bottom brace. When a rollover event is detected, the release mechanism may allow the top plate to release from the bottom brace, thereby allowing the semi-tractor to separate from the semi-trailer. The fifth wheel coupling may include a pair of pivot rails that promote consistent decoupling of the top plate from the bottom brace. The breakaway fifth wheel coupling may reduce the likelihood of the semi-tractor participating in a rollover accident.

FIFTH-WHEEL COUPLING ARRANGEMENT WITH WEAR DETECTION
A fifth-wheel coupling arrangement includes, a plurality of wear sensors, a fifth-wheel coupling plate, a lock claw mounted on the fifth-wheel coupling plate configured to be movable in a first closing direction, a locking mechanism, with a stop, configured to be mounted on the fifth-wheel coupling plate configured to be movable in a second closing direction, wherein the fifth-wheel coupling plate has an insertion opening for a king pin, wherein the lock claw positively prevents the king pin from moving out of the insertion opening in a closed state of the fifth-wheel coupling arrangement and allows the king pin to move out of the insertion opening in an open state of the fifth-wheel coupling arrangement, wherein the wear sensor is configured to monitor a wear parameter of the fifth-wheel coupling arrangement, and wherein the wear sensor has a data output.

Retractable pull handle assemblies for fifth wheels
A fifth wheel for locking to a kingpin of a towed trailer includes an operating arm pivotable into and between a locked position for locking the kingpin in the fifth wheel and an unlocked position in which the kingpin can be removed from or inserted into the fifth wheel and a housing coupled to the operating arm. A pull handle is slidable in the housing into and between an extended position in which the pull handle extends from the housing and a retracted position in which the pull handle is retracted into the housing. A spring in the housing biases the pull handle towards the retracted position. When the operating arm is pivoted into the locked position the pull handle is forced into the extended position, and after the operating arm is pivoted to the unlocked position the pull handle moves to the retracted position.
