SCREW PROFILE MUD-PACKING PREVENTING
20210276637 · 2021-09-09 · ·

A rotating assembly for a machine is disclosed herein. The rotating assembly includes an annular support structure and a shaft assembly. The annular support structure includes a bore therethrough and protrusion extending helically around a portion of the bore. The shaft assembly includes a shaft and a collar coupled to the shaft. The collar includes a plurality of grooves located at the outer surface of the collar. The collar is positioned within the bore of the annular support structure such that the plurality of grooves are adjacent to the protrusion. As the annular support structure rotates, the protrusion rotates and is configured to move debris and mud out of the rotating assembly.

Undercarriage assembly for a rope shovel

An undercarriage assembly for a rope shovel includes a crawler frame having a roller component that is disposed at least partially below a crawler body between a first leg and a second leg. The roller component has a lateral roller component bore therethrough. A first crawler frame bushing having a first flanged end is disposed in and through a first lateral crawler frame bore. A roller component bushing-having a first flanged end is disposed in and through the lateral roller component bore, and the first flanged end of the first crawler frame bushing abuts the first flanged end of the roller component bushing.

MECHANISM FOR ADJUSTING MISALIGNMENT IN A CONTINUOUS BELTED MACHINE
20210197907 · 2021-07-01 ·

A track roller assembly for a work machine includes a drive and idler wheels and an endless track belt disposed about the wheels. The idler wheel is mounted on a track roller frame track roller frame with a swing link. The work machine has an adjustment mechanism configured to adjust the alignment of the endless track belt in relation to the drive and idler wheels. The adjustment mechanism includes a transverse pivot pin connected to a downward projecting lobe of the swing link. A lever is connected to the pivot pin. The adjustment mechanism includes a drive mechanism, wherein a proximal end of the lever interacts with the drive mechanism such that the drive mechanism controls a position of the lever, wherein movement of the lever moves the pivot pin causing an adjustment in the position of the idler wheel and the alignment the endless track belt that rides thereon.

HIGH CARBON STEEL TRACK BUSHING

An example bushing has three portions along its radial direction including an inner portion most proximal to a central hole of the bushing, an outer portion most distal from the center hole, and a core portion between the inner portion and the outer portion. The core portion has a hardness that is less than the hardness of the inner portion or the outer portion of the bushing. The bushing may be formed using high carbon steel, which in some cases may be spheroidal cementite crystal structure. A rough bushing may be formed using the high carbon steel, followed by a direct hardening process, and an induction hardening process on the inner surface most proximal to the central hole of the bushing. The induction hardening on the inner surface may harden the outer portion while tempering the core portion of the bushing.
