PIPELINE PATROL INSPECTION ROBOT HAVING VARIABLE TRACKS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR

The present invention discloses a pipeline patrol inspection robot having variable tracks and a control method therefor. The pipeline patrol inspection robot of the present invention includes a robot body, track assemblies symmetrically disposed on a left side and a right side of the robot body, and a movement driving mechanism. The robot body is connected to the track assemblies on the left side and the right side by track fixtures, and track angle adjusting mechanisms are respectively connected between the robot body and the track assemblies on the left side and the right side. By means of the present invention, a track camber angle can be adjusted. In addition, each track angle adjusting mechanism is independent, and has desirable flexibility to adapt to different pipeline environments.

Steering system
11505244 · 2022-11-22 · ·

A system and method for steering a machine. The system may comprise a controller configured to receive a steering command and determine a target angular turn rate for the body and a target turn direction for the body. The controller may be further configured to determine a steering mode based on a transmission output torque, the steering mode including Traction-steering, Assisted-steering or Implement-steering. When the steering mode is Assisted-steering, the controller is configured to steer the machine in the target turn direction and at the target angular turn rate by (a) moving an implement from a first position to a second position and (b) diverting or removing power from a first ground engaging traction member. When the steering mode is Implement-steering, the controller is configured to move the implement from a first position to a second position to steer the machine in the target turn direction and at the target angular turn rate without diverting or removing power from the first ground engaging traction member.

Snow Track For A Snowmobile
20220363340 · 2022-11-17 ·

An endless track for propelling a snowmobile. The endless track includes an inner drive surface and an outer ground-engaging surface opposite to the inner drive surface. A first side surface is opposite to a second side surface. A plurality of first side lugs are adjacent to the first side surface. A plurality of second side lugs are adjacent to the second side surface. The plurality of first side lugs and the plurality of second side lugs provide traction when the snowmobile is operated off-axis and tilted on its side as well as provides traction surfaces on additional planes other than the outer carcass of the endless track when the track is submerged in the snow.

TRACK SECTION WITH CROSSBAR AND TRACK BELT FORMED BY SUCH TRACK SECTIONS
20220355875 · 2022-11-10 ·

A track section (1) adapted to be linked to a plurality of similar track sections to form a track belt for mounting around the outer periphery of vehicle tyres. The track section comprises a crossbar (11) and two lateral support members (126a, 12b). The crossbar is lattice-like and formed by two or more flat, upright and elongated crossbar elements (16) and two or more connecting elements (17). The crossbar elements (16) extend in parallel with each other and empty spaces are provided between them. Each connecting element (17) extends across and is fixed to the crossbar elements (16) in order to act as a spacer between the crossbar elements. Each connecting element (17) projects from the crossbar elements (16) on the outer side (14) of the crossbar (11).

Tread pattern
11572115 · 2023-02-07 · ·

A tread pattern for a vehicle track, such as an endless track for earth-moving equipment, comprises a plurality of blocks. Each block includes two lateral traction portions extending in substantially opposite directions. The two lateral traction portions are longitudinally aligned and each define a pair of walls defining a plurality of steps. In some examples, each lateral traction portion may define an L-shape. For example, the lateral traction portions of each block may define a protrusion to define the “L” shape, and, in some examples, the protrusions may extend in opposite longitudinal directions. In some examples, the lateral traction portions of each block may be the same shape, where one lateral traction portion may be oriented at about 180 degrees relative to the other lateral traction portion.
