A vehicle light, wherein light to be emitted by a base light source which is offset with respect to an emission surface is first conducted radially outwards in targeted manner and is then reflected in an axial direction with respect to the emission surface, uses light-conducting bodies, which are spaced apart from a deflection mirror, or a light-conducting space, which extends first radially and then axially, to obtain as light-intensive, uniform and directional light emissions as possible.

A headlight device for a saddled vehicle includes an LED light source and a mechanism which enlarges an illumination range upward in a turning direction at the time of turning traveling. The mechanism includes, at a position on an outer side, in the vehicle width direction, of a high-beam reflector that reflects forward emitted light from a high-beam, an outer reflection section that reflects the emitted light further upward than the direction of emission of the high-beam reflector. The outer reflection section is provided on at least one of left and right high-beam reflectors, and is configured to be covered by an extension serving as a decorative part, in front view of the vehicle body.

PORTABLE ACTIVE LIGHTING DEVICE OR SAME INSTALLED ON A BICYCLE

The active lighting device of a bicycle includes a first optical system with a first light source for long-distance illumination, controlled by a control unit, and a second optical system with a second light source for short-distance illumination, controlled by the control unit. It includes a light sensor for determining the light intensity of a location in which the bicycle is situated and allows the control unit to adapt the light intensity of the light sources, if they are activated and if the ambient light intensity is below a determined light threshold. Moreover, a speed sensor is provided for determining the speed of the bicycle in use on a path, so that the control unit controls the activation of the first light source from at least one determined speed threshold. An orientation detector is provided for orienting the light sources depending on a curve travelled by the bicycle in use.

Light source module

A light source module is switchable between a high beam and a low beam, and is mounted on a vehicle. A first light source is arranged such that its output light is irradiated to a low-beam region by a first optical system. A second light source is arranged such that its output light is irradiated to a high-beam region by a second optical system. A lighting circuit supplies a driving current to the first light source in response to a turn-on instruction for either the high beam or the low beam. Furthermore, the lighting circuit supplies the output current to the second light source in response to a turn-on instruction for the high beam.

Fixed-beam headlights reduce a rider's intended visual field by pointing away from a corner during turning. A system is presented for improving visibility in dark conditions on a motorcycle. It relates to adaptively controlling headlight orientation. Based on sensor data, the headlight beam is rotated independently in three degrees of freedom, in real time. This maintains illumination of the road ahead, even when cornering, and reduces the blinding of oncoming traffic. High beam and low beam operation is accommodated, including dimmable high beams. The beam is directed with three independent motors in one embodiment, by the switching of light-emitting diodes in an array in another embodiment, or using a hybrid motorized and solid-state system. The adaptive headlights are suitable for craft other than motorcycles.
