SADDLE-RIDDEN TYPE VEHICLE
There is provided a saddle-ridden type vehicle. The vehicle includes frame members, pivot shaft supports, a swing arm, first and second support members, a rear cushion unit and a link mechanism. A first link member has one end portion pivotably connected to a rear end portion of the rear cushion unit, the other end portion located at a front lower side relative to the rear end portion and extending to a position at a rear side relative to a rear end portion of each frame member, and a swing arm connection unit. A second link member has one end portion pivotably connected to the other end portion of the first link member and the other end portion pivotably connected to the second support member. A cushion unit connection portion of the swing arm is pivotably connected to a swing arm connection portion of the first link member.
BICYCLE FRAME WITH BATTERY MOUNT
A bicycle comprises front and rear wheels, a frame supported on the front and rear wheels and including a frame mount, and a battery including a battery mount engaged with the frame mount. One of the battery mount and the frame mount includes a depression and the other of the battery mount and the frame mount includes a boss positioned in the depression. Preferably, depression comprises a slot, and the slot can include a resilient material to securely hold the boss. The boss can comprise an eccentric boss. Preferably, the battery mount is positioned adjacent one end of the battery, and an opposite end of the battery includes an opening. In this embodiment, the bicycle further comprises a mounting pin positioned through the opening and through a portion of the frame to secure the opposite end of the battery to the frame.
DAMPER APPARATUS
A damper apparatus includes an adjusting bolt including a head part rotatably stored in an adjusting bolt storage part formed in a base part, and a male thread part including a tip end formed in a male thread shape. An adjusting member includes: a female thread part, which is a part in a female thread shape fastened to the male thread part of the adjusting bolt and movably provided along an axis line of the adjusting bolt; a tapered surface part with which the tip end of a push rod comes into contact and formed in a tapered shape with respect to the axis line of the adjusting bolt; and wall parts rising from both ends of the tapered surface part with reference to the circumferential direction of the adjusting bolt, and interposing the push rod therebetween.
FLEXIBLE HARDWARE SPACER
A spacer for connecting a suspension component to a frame of a bicycle includes a spacer body and a flexible portion disposed at one end of the spacer body and configured to exert an axial bias force under compression. The spacer body and the flexible portion form a unitary part.
Suspension pivot assemblies having a retention feature
A pivot assembly for a cycle linkage suspension is provided that includes first and second members and a pivot. The first and second members include lateral openings extending therethrough and the pivot includes a rod portion that is configured to be disposed within the lateral openings to pivotably couple the first and second members together. The rod portion further includes an opening that extends through an intermediate portion thereof. The pivot assembly can further include a pin configured to be removably inserted at least partially into the opening in the rod portion to thereby restrict lateral movement of the rod portion within the first and second members.
CHAINSTAY PROTECTOR WITH SPACED PROTRUSIONS
A bicycle includes a chainstay protector having an upper surface including a valley, a first peak, and a second peak. The first peak extends upwardly from the valley toward the chain and has a first contact surface positioned to contact the chain a first height above the valley. The second peak extends upwardly from the valley toward the chain and has a second contact surface positioned to contact the chain a second height above the valley. The first contact surface is spaced from the second contact surface by a gap that is at least 5 times the first height. Each of the first and second contact surfaces has a length that is less than the length of the gap and less than two times a pitch of the chain.
DRIVE UNIT AND ELECTRICALLY ASSISTED VEHICLE
A drive unit includes a decelerator rotatably supported by a housing, the decelerator including a first transmission gear, a second transmission gear having teeth of a smaller number than that of the first transmission gear, and a transmission shaft to transmit a rotation of the first transmission gear to the second transmission gear; and a bearing supporting the first transmission gear in the housing such that the first transmission gear is rotatable. A distance, in a first direction in which the transmission shaft extends in the housing, from a reference plane to teeth of the first transmission gear is less than a distance in the first direction from the reference plane to an innermost portion of the bearing, in which the reference plane passes through an outermost portion of the bearing and is perpendicular to the first direction.
BICYCLE REAR SUSPENSION SYSTEM WITH SELECTABLE AXLE PATHS
A bicycle frame is disclosed. In certain examples, the bicycle frame includes a head tube coupled to a top tube and a down tube, a seat tube coupled to the top tube and the down tube, and an upper pivot point disposed in the seat tube configured to pivotally couple to a rear suspension system. In certain examples, the bicycle frame includes a plurality of lower pivot points disposed in the seat tube configured to pivotally couple to the rear suspension system, each of the plurality of lower pivot points causing, when coupled to the rear suspension system, the rear suspension system to define a different wheel path as a rear wheel of the rear suspension system travels from an extended position to a compressed position.
