The motorization device includes: a calculation unit configured to calculate speed of the bicycle; an estimation unit configured to estimate pedal force applied to pedals of the bicycle; an electric motor; a battery which supplies electric power to the electric motor; and a control unit configured to apply auxiliary driving force to a wheel of the bicycle by driving the electric motor based on the speed calculated and the pedal force estimated.

According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a rotor includes a plurality of permanent magnets and a support supporting the permanent magnet. The support includes at least one of an outside support fixed to a radial outside of the outer cores to circumferentially support an end face of the permanent magnet from both sides and an inside support fixed to a radial inside of the outer cores to circumferentially support the end face of the permanent magnet from both sides. Each of the outer cores includes an opposite face parallelly opposed to the end face of the permanent magnet in the circumferential direction. The outside support and the inside support each includes a support face circumferentially supporting the end face. The support face is disposed on a side closer to a center line of the permanent magnet than the opposite face in the circumferential direction.

A bicycle braking system includes a server, a portable device such as a smartphone, a display unit, a control unit, a power supply unit, a rotating electrical machine, and a bicycle. The portable device includes an image display unit, a braking condition transmitting unit, and a braking condition setting unit. The control unit regeneratively brakes the bicycle using the rotating electrical machine in accordance with the braking condition set by the braking condition setting unit. The braking system enables a non-user to set braking conditions for the bicycle and to perform braking based on the conditions set by the non-user.
MOTOR DEVICE FOR AN ELECTRIC BICYCLE
A motor device for an electric bicycle may include an electric motor, a first connector unit, and/or a second connector unit. The electric motor may include an axis of rotation. The first connector unit may include a first motor connector and a first connecting part. The first connecting part may surround the first motor connector regionally and/or outwardly. The first connector unit may be mounted on the electric motor and may be electrically conductively connected to the electric motor via the first motor connector. The second connector unit may include a second motor connector and a second connecting part. An electrical conductive connection may be established and released directly between the first motor connector and the second motor connector.
Electric-powered personal transport vehicle
An electric-powered personal transport vehicle with a board to support a weight of a user and one or more wheels driven by one or more electric motors is discussed. The electric motors are powered by one or more batteries. A throttle has a thumb wheel speed controller on a handlebar. The thumb wheel speed controller has a horizontal manipulation between accelerate, neutral, and brake input positions such that pressing the thumbwheel speed controller in a vertical direction will not result in an unintentional acceleration or braking.

An electric bicycle includes a front wheel drivable by a front wheel electric motor that has a battery as a power supply; a rear wheel drivable by a rear wheel electric motor that has a battery as a power supply; pedal for inputting pedaling force of a driver to at least one of the front wheel or the rear wheel; at least one travel operator that inputs a desired travel state of the driver; a front wheel controller that controls a rotation of the front wheel electric motor in accordance with a situation of the front wheel and an input from the travel operator; and a rear wheel controller that controls a rotation of the rear wheel electric motor in accordance with a situation of the rear wheel and an input from the travel operator. Two electric motors, the front wheel electric motor and the rear wheel electric motor, are provided, at least one of the front wheel or the rear wheel is driven by the corresponding electric motor and a load of at least one of the front wheel electric motor or the rear wheel electric motor is reduced by the pedaling force of the driver.

Battery Wheel Assembly
A battery wheel assembly is disclosed that includes a wheel having an axle for securement to a vehicle, the axle having a central axle axis extending therethrough, a wheel rim and interconnected wheel hub rotatable about the central axle axis. The battery wheel assembly further includes a battery pack that includes a carrier wreath secured to the wheel rim, and a plurality of battery cells electrically interconnected and secured to the carrier wreath.

A battery wheel assembly is disclosed that includes a wheel having an axle for securement to a vehicle, the axle having a central axle axis extending therethrough, a wheel rim and interconnected wheel hub rotatable about the central axle axis. The battery wheel assembly further includes a battery pack that includes a carrier wreath secured to the wheel rim, and a plurality of battery cells electrically interconnected and secured to the carrier wreath.
