SEQUENTIAL GEAR SHIFTER
A sequential gear shift system for two-way operated speed change gear units of manually propelled vehicles. Mirrored, spaced-apart lever operators, are provided with increasing lever stroke ratio, and actuate sequentially with twin mirrored one-way multi-tooth rack-clutch mechanisms, that rapidly engage with a shift element and convert linear torque to rotate the shift element in diametrically opposite directions. The rack-clutch mechanisms may be disengaged from the shift element when returning to normal. The actuating may occur via independent hydraulic operation of an actuator. The actuator housing and load bearing axle of the speed change gear hub are selectively, releasably, and coaxially interconnected into a rigid gear system load bearing axle, and may be combined at any angle, and a shift direction is selectively reversible.
ELECTRIC BICYCLE
An electric bicycle has: a frame (12); a handlebar (26); a front wheel (38); a rear wheel (62): and a transmission (102) connected to the frame (12). The transmission (102) has: an input shaft (232); an output shaft (114) operatively connected to the input shaft (232); and a housing (106) housing (106) at least a portion of the input and output shafts (232, 114). The bicycle also has a crankshaft (108) operatively connected to the input shaft (232); an electric motor (104) operatively connected to the input shaft (232); a drive sprocket (116) connected to and driven by the output shaft (114); a driven sprocket (118) connected to the rear wheel (62) to drive the rear wheel (62); a flexible drive member (120) engaging the drive and driven sprockets (116), a lowest point of the housing (106) being vertically lower than the drive sprocket (116), the driven sprocket (118) and the flexible drive member (120); a pair of crank arms (110) connected to the crankshaft (108); and a battery pack (130) connected to the frame (12) and electrically connected to the electric motor (104).
SHIFTING ARRANGEMENT FOR A BICYCLE TRANSMISSION, TRANSMISSION UNIT AND SHIFTING METHOD
A shifting arrangement for a vehicle transmission of a vehicle that can be driven by at least one of muscle power and motor power. The shifting arrangement comprises a transmission shaft assembly, on which a plurality of idler gears are rotatably mounted, which can be connected to the transmission shaft assembly via respective shifting devices. The shifting devices can be actuated by means of a camshaft assembly, which comprises a first camshaft. The first camshaft and a second camshaft of the camshaft assembly are coupled to one another via a reversing transmission in such a way that a rotation of one of the camshafts in a first rotation direction leads to a rotation of the other camshaft in a second rotation direction, which is opposite to the first rotation direction.
