High stability low drag boat hull
A modified V-hull boat has a keel starting at about 20% from the bow ending 75 to 80% aft of the bow and has an inverted airfoil shape. A flat pad blends in aft of the keel assisting planning and attitude at speed. A bracket having a bottom shape and size to float a designated amount of weight and a downward angle facing down at the aft on the bottom to act as a positive planning fixed trim tape that ride's above the water at speed or on plane, and adds stability and positive buoyancy for weight of engines at rest or low speed. Chine's are the outside corner of the boat joining the bottom to the side's. The chine's taper slightly inboard aft to relieve friction and drag. Although they do not come together the chine is no way a straight line the outer edges are slightly more ellipsoidal hence the name.
PERSONAL WATERCRAFT
A personal watercraft comprises a body including a deck and a hull, the hull includes a bottom surface facing downward and side surfaces facing outward in a rightward and leftward direction, the bottom surface has a shape in which a width in the rightward and leftward direction is reduced from its center portion in a forward and rearward direction to its rear portion, in a center portion of the hull in a forward and rearward direction, each of the side surfaces includes an upper side surface and a lower side surface, the lower side surface and the bottom surface are connected to each other to form an obtuse angle in a cross-section viewed from a rear, and an inclination angle formed between the lower side surface and a vertical line is set to be greater than an inclination angle formed between the upper side surface and the vertical line.
Systems and methods for multi-mode unmanned vehicle mission planning and control
Systems and associated methods for planning and control of a fleet of unmanned vehicles in missions that are coordinated temporally and spatially by geo-location, direction, vehicle orientation, altitude above sea level, and depth below sea level. The unmanned vehicles' transit routes may be fully autonomous, semi-autonomous, or under direct operator control using off board control systems. Means are provided for intervention and transit changes during mission execution. Means are provided to collect, centralize and analyze mission data collected on the set of participating unmanned vehicles.
HULL FOR LOW DRAG BOATS
A hull for low drag boats has, from bow to stern, a deep V-shaped keel (10) whose dead-rise angle decreases up to a flattened bottom (30) in the stern, and sides (20) comprising side chines (200) protruding downward from the flattened bottom that is not inclined upwards.
Inflatable craft having V-shaped hull and flaps
Disclosed is a vessel with two watertight flaps attached in a tensioned state on the two sides of the longitudinal keel, each being under one of the two rear side portions of the V-shaped hull, the outer side edge of each flap being connected under the shell covering the bottom compartment on the same side, and the bottom side edge being connected to the bottom along a line which is angled from the rear to the front and angled toward the lower compartment, with a flap width tapering from the tensioned, free rear edge between the ends at the transom, toward a front portion connected to the bottom and/or to the shell at the connection between the upper and lower compartments, defining, with the latter and the bottom, a channel converging from front to rear and angled toward the rear end of the edge of the V-shaped craft hull.
VESSEL FOR TRANSPORTING AND INSTALLING A FLOATING PLATFORM AND METHOD FOR TRANSPORTING AND INSTALLING A FLOATING PLATFORM USING SAID VESSEL
The invention allows setting up floating platforms comprising an elongated central body (1) from the lower portion of which legs (2) come out intended to fix the platform to anchoring elements arranged in the sea bed (5). The vessel comprises: a) a longitudinal through groove (4) up to the vessel bottom, and leaving part of the vessel bow (5) open; and b) a plurality of slots (6, 7) placed at the bottom of the vessel, wherein the groove (4) and the slots (6, 7) are configured both in dimension and in shape in such a way that they fit in at least some of the legs (2), so that the legs (2) can be inserted, at least partially, in the slots (6, 7) to attach the platform to the vessel.
WATERCRAFT PLANING HULL WITH INVERTED CHINE
Provided is watercraft hull system, including a hull having a fore end, an aft end, and a longitudinal axis extending between the fore end and the aft end; a substantially V-shaped portion extending from the fore end toward the aft end along a portion of the longitudinal axis; and a substantially M-shaped portion extending from the V-shaped portion toward the aft end, wherein the V-shaped portion gradually transitions to the M-shaped portion.
UNMANNED VEHICLE SYSTEM INCLUDING HOST VEHICLE AND GUEST VEHICLE
An unmanned vehicle system is provided. The system may comprise a host vehicle and a guest vehicle, each of which may each include a vehicle body, a control system, a maneuvering system, and a sensor and communication system. The host vehicle may also include a securing system. The host vehicle and the guest vehicle may be in communication with one another, and the guest vehicle may be moveable between a stowed state, defined as the guest vehicle being at least partially carried by a portion of the host vehicle, and a deployed state, defined as the guest vehicle being spaced apart from the host vehicle. The securing system may be operable to move between a locked state and an unlocked state to selectively engage the guest vehicle to allow for the guest vehicle to be moved from the stowed state to the deployed state.
Means of water surface transport
A water surface transport means, comprising a bottom (1), boards (2), a deck (3), surge diversion grooves (4) and wave suppression diversion baffles (5), the surge diversion groove (4) being provided in a space between a bottom surface vertically recessed into the hull bottom (1) and the deck (3) and extending from the bow to the stern, with an arc-shaped transverse section and a top line of longitudinal section being lower in the front and higher in the rear; a top transverse section of the wave suppression diversion baffle (5) being arc-shaped and a top line of longitudinal section being lower in the front and higher in the rear. The water surface transport means can be configured as mono-hull, catamaran and trimaran.
HIGH STABILITY LOW DRAG BOAT HULL KEEL HAVING INVERTED FOIL CONFIGURATION
A modified V-hull boat has a keel having a horizontal cross-sectional profile of an inverted foil. The leading edge of the keel is a sharp point and the front region of the keel tapers outward along the length of the keel until it reaches its widest point. The widest point is aligned with the center of gravity of the hull. The trailing edge is a rounded blunt edge. The aft region of the keel is substantially shorter in length than the front region of the keel.
