Draft adjustable watercraft
A watercraft has a hull with a central portion which selectively raises from a lower position to a recessed position within a tunnel of the boat hull with a hydraulically controlled means. The hydraulically controlled means is disposed within the hull and adjacent the tunnel. A motor mount is in mechanical communication with the adjustable portion of the boat hull and raises or lowers correspondingly with the adjustable portion of the boat hull.
BOAT HULL
A boat hull includes a bow section and a flat aft section to allow an air film to be introduced under the boat hull. At least one slot or round hole is arranged proximate a location where the bow section meets the flat aft section. The slot or round hole provides a low-pressure injection point for pumped or drawn-in air and/or exhaust gas, which lubricates an operative surface of the flat aft section.
Wake-Modifying Device for a Boat
A recreational sport boat includes a hull, having starboard and port sides and a transom, and a wake-modifying devices positioned aft of the transom. The wake-modifying device includes a plate-like member and at least one downturned surface. The wake-modifying device is pivotable between a non-deployed position and a deployed position about a pivot axis. When a wake-modifying device is in the deployed position, the downturned surface is lower than it is in the non-deployed position so as to be able to modify the boat's wake.

TRANSOM MOUNTED BRACKET FOR A FLUID HINGE TRIM TAB SYSTEM
A transom mounted fluid hinge bracket having one mounting plate that is connected at a lower distal end to a horizontal bracket portion which extends forward and aft of the transom of a watercraft in a bow to stern axial displacement, the horizontal bracket abutting the underside of the hull of a watercraft sitting flush with the underside of the watercraft, at least one fluid hinge receiver secured to the back side of the horizontal bracket portion on which the back of the substantially planar surface of the trim tab may rest, the at least one fluid hinge receiver containing the substantially planar surface in a position of the planar surface resting about parallel to the hull of the watercraft, and the at least one fluid hinge receiver without any load from the planar surface except at rest keeping the planar surface from descending below a horizon parallel to that of a horizon of the hull.

SUSPENSION-BASED COLLAPSIBLE STRAKES FOR WATERCRAFT AND WATERCRAFT INCLUDING THE SAME
A watercraft includes a hull having inner and outer surfaces and at least one collapsible strake coupled to the hull. The collapsible strake includes a movable skin hingedly coupled to the hull. The collapsible strake also includes a dampening element and a negative stiffness element each extending from an inner surface of the movable skin to the outer surface of the hull. The movable skin is configured to rotate between an uncollapsed configuration having a first stiffness and a collapsed configuration having a second stiffness greater than the first stiffness.

Boat hull
A boat hull, comprising a plurality of chines extending downwardly from a bow of the hull towards a stern of the hull, each chine in transverse cross section being substantially straight and substantially horizontal and arranged so that a centerline of each chine lies in a plane which is parallel to a central plane of an adjacent chine, wherein collectively the chines in a lower forward portion of the hull are arranged generally V shaped in cross section and wherein an aft portion of a base of the hull is generally flat and each chine terminates at the flat aft portion.
