Boat with reconfigurable running surface for wake adjustment
A watersports boat includes a hull having an underside extending from a forward bow to an aft transom along a longitudinal centerline. The underside defines a running surface that contacts water when the hull moves therein. The running surface includes a bow section and port and starboard midship running surface sections that flatten moving aft to an aft running surface section. The port and starboard midship running surface sections are separated by a keel member. The keel member has an apex lower than the aft running surface section and that inclines toward the aft running surface section aft the apex and forward a propeller positioned beneath the aft running surface section.
Devices and methods for wake tuning
Flow modifiers are positioned at one or more discrete points along the underside of a boat hull to generate secondary wakes that interfere with the primary wake generated by the boat hull and result in a desired modified wake useful for various watersports. The flow modifiers are formed integrally with the boat hull or affixed thereto, and can be selectively extendable and retractable relative thereto.
Surf wake system for a watercraft
An adjustable surf wake system enhances a wake formed by a watercraft travelling through water. The system may include a flap for deflecting water traveling past the stern of the watercraft, and/or a positioner operably connected to the flap for positioning the flap relative to a longitudinal axis of the watercraft between a neutral position and an outward position. Positioning a port flap in its extended position enhances a starboard surf wake, and positioning the starboard flap in its extended position enhances a port surf wake. A wake modifying system for modifying a wake produced by a watercraft traveling through water may include a rudder pivotally mounted to the watercraft for steering the watercraft, a fin pivotally mounted to the watercraft substantially along a centerline of the watercraft and forward the rudder, wherein the fin pivots about an upright axis to modify the wake produced by the watercraft traveling through the water, an actuator mounted within the watercraft and operably coupled to the fin for pivoting the fin relative to the centerline, and a controller mounted on the watercraft allowing an operator to control the actuator and selectively pivot the fin to a desired angle ?d relative to the centerline.
Boat having an improved ability to get on plane and improved method of getting a boat on plane
A boat includes at least three trim devices positioned aft of the boat's transom. To improve the boat's ability to get on place, each trim device is initially positioned to a deployed position. The speed of the boat is then determined as the boat gains speed. When the speed of the boat exceeds a first predetermined threshold, the first trim device is moved from the deployed position to a non-deployed position. When the speed of the boat exceeds a second predetermined threshold, the second trim device is moved from the deployed position to a non-deployed position. When the speed of the boat exceeds a third predetermined threshold, the third trim device is moved from the deployed position to a non-deployed position. At least one of the first, second, and third predetermined thresholds is different from the other two of the first, second, and third predetermined thresholds.

EXTENDABLE HULL SYSTEM MOVABLE BETWEN MONO-HULL AND MULTI-HULL CONFIGURATIONS
An extendable hull system movable between a mono-hull to a multi-hull configuration is provided so as to take advantage of both types of hull designs depending on the boating conditions. The extendable hull system provides a center hull portion and two side hull portions, each with separate planing surfaces in an expanded multi-hull configuration, and providing a shared planing surface in the contracted mono-hull configuration. The extendable hull system provides a pivotably connected railing system along a periphery of the side hull portions for moving to a deployed configuration providing additional walking surface. The extendable hull system provides a retractable awning movable between positions for covering the mono-hull and the multi-hull configuration.
A WATERCRAFT USING NARROWING CONCAVE CHANNELS
The invention is a watercraft with at least one hull which creates hydrodynamic lift by using narrowing concave channels (1) on the underside of the said at least one hull where propulsion (3) is placed such that the said propulsion draws water through the said narrowing concave channels (1).

Air chamber hull
This invention provides a water craft hull having an air chamber, wherein the sidewalls of the air chamber extend lower than the fore wall and the aft wall of the air chamber, and wherein the hull comprises at least one air injector configured to deliver pressurized air to the air chamber. Optionally, a hull of the invention has a high aspect ratio air chamber defined by a stable fore wall, a stable aft wall, and stable sidewalls, is a non-planing hull, has a wave-piercing bow, and has elongated keel fins (e.g. inner keel fins and/or outer keel fins). Optionally, the air chamber is configured for recirculating air flow.
