WATER DRONE
The present invention concerns a modular water drone (10) able to perform a series of missions, even simultaneously, in any aquatic environment whatsoever, which comprises a stern module (11a), a main module (11), a bow module (12) and at least one intermediate module (13), which can be divided and connected to each other, wherein each intermediate module (13) comprises an intermediate operating unit (17) configured to perform the specific mission for which it was designed in the aquatic environment and/or in its neighboring zones.
FOLDABLE HYDROFOIL FOR BOATS
The invention is directed to a watercraft comprising multiple set of foils, that may be used to convey passengers and goods on regular transport services provided on rivers, lakes or between islands, with low GHG emissions, notably but not exclusively using electrically powered propelling systems supplied by a battery or a fuel cell. The combination of the foil sets in a distributed wingspan allows to reduce the induced drag of the boat while retracting mechanisms allows to reduce the overall width of the boat for docking.
SAIL BOAT PROPULSION AND STABILISATION SYSTEM AND DEVICE
A sail boat propulsion and stabilisation system. The system uses a device to substantially increase the performance of sail or motor boats by reducing the displacement to increase speed and comfort during sailing, due to its light weight and dynamics. The system comprises a control panel connected to a hydraulic group which actuates the device. The device is provided with a keel wing and a counterbalance or lift wing joined by a bulb, a cylindrical actuator for the counterbalance and lift wing, a hydraulic rotary actuator for hoisting the assembly, an articulation shaft, and a tilting shaft for the assembly which is coupled to the broadside or to the mounting base beside sensors of the angle of attack of the counterbalance wing. The hydraulic group and the cylindrical hydraulic actuator are optionally replaced by a cylindrical electric actuator connected to the control panel and acting upon the counterbalance wing.
Watercraft device with hydrofoil and electric propeller system
A modular, weight-shift controlled watercraft device is disclosed which includes: a modular board removably attachable to a power system. The power system includes a modular power supply system, and a modular propulsion system. The power supply system includes a housing including a battery. The propulsion system includes a modular strut, a modular propulsion pod, and a modular hydrofoil. In one embodiment, the power supply system is removably and mechanically attachable directly to the propulsion system.
Autonomously controlled hydrofoil system
The present invention relates to a hydrofoil system the includes a controller; a foil for engagement with the waterborne vessel, the foil comprising a plurality of adjustment members operable to vary the lift characteristics of the waterborne vessel; a propeller; an engine and gearbox located adjacent the foil and operable/in mechanical communication with the propeller; a plurality of sensors in electrical communication with the controller, each sensor configured to monitor flight parameters of the waterborne vessel and generate measured flight parameter data; wherein the controller is in communication with the adjustment members, the engine and the sensors and wherein the controller is configured to receive measured flight parameter data from the sensors and to control the operation of the engine and the position of the adjustment members in dependence upon the received measured flight parameter data. Further provided is a waterborne vessel including such a hydrofoil system.
Motor Boat with Retractable Foils
The invention relates to a motor boat comprising a bearing structure (1) and at least one foil (2) which is defined by a hydrofoil and its support (4), which is positioned under said structure and slideably mounted with respect to the latter; characterized in that the foil (2) is also mounted in such a way as to adopt at least two fixed positions, namely a position referred to as the active position in which the foil (2) is lowered and a position referred to as the passive position in which the foil (2) coincides with the bearing structure (1) or is fully retracted into the latter.
Wireless handheld controller for use with a watercraft device
A modular, weight-shift controlled watercraft device is disclosed which includes a wireless handheld throttle controller comprising a body configured to avoid water intrusion, a throttle control interface configured to receive an input controlling a speed of the watercraft, a memory storing an operator profile setting, a wireless transmitter configured to communicate wirelessly with a microcontroller of the watercraft, a processor configured to communicate control information to the microcontroller of the watercraft via the wireless transmitter.
Watercraft
A watercraft (10) including a board (12), a mast (16) extending below the board, (12) the mast (16) carrying a foil (20) and a propeller (30) that is driven by a motor (32), the motor (32) being carried in a tube (18) connected to or extending from the mast (16), wherein a motor controller (34) is also positioned within the tube (18). In this manner, heat generated by the motor controller during use is dissipated into the water through which the watercraft is travelling. The watercraft (10) may also have a receptacle for holding lubricant, the receptacle being located above the motor, wherein the mast has a conduit that provides fluid communication between the receptacle and the lubricant lubricating the motor and/or driveshaft such that lubricant in the receptacle provides a hydrostatic head of pressure to prevent or minimise water ingress around a propeller seal or a driveshaft seal located adjacent a region where the driveshaft exits into the water.
WATERCRAFT DEVICE WITH HYDROFOIL AND ELECTRIC PROPELLER SYSTEM
A method and system for providing a watercraft device are disclosed. The watercraft device comprises a board, a throttle coupled to a top surface of the board, a hydrofoil coupled to a bottom surface of the board, and an electric propeller system coupled to the hydrofoil. The electric propeller system powers the watercraft device using information generated from the throttle. A center of buoyancy in a non-foiling mode of the watercraft device and a center of lift in a foiling mode of the watercraft device are aligned.
Hydrofoil shield
A hydrofoil shield for protecting a boat motor includes a shield body, two fins, a nose section, and a tail section, wherein the shield body has a central shield portion with fins extending therefrom and the nose section disposed forward of the body, wherein the shield body and fins are symmetrical about a longitudinal axis extending from the nose section to the tail section, and wherein the fins curve toward the central shield portion at a dihedral/sweep angle forming a U-like shape.
