AN EXPELLING DEVICE AND A MILKING ARRANGEMENT PROVIDED WITH SUCH A DEVICE
An expelling device is provided that is configured to incite an animal to exit from of a milking stable in which the animal is standing during a milking session. The milking stable has a front wall element and lateral wall elements and is configured to house an animal that is being milked in the milking stable with the head directed to and close to the front wall element. The expelling device includes a sheet configured to move vertically from an elevated position to a position adjacent to a front end of the milking stable and adjacent to a lateral wall element of the milking stable.
Method and system for managing dairy animals
A living area includes a lying and eating area and a milking area. The living area is connected to a separation area by a selection device. A subgroup of dairy animals to be separated is determined together with a desired end time at which the dairy animals to be separated should be present in the separation area. For each individual dairy animal from the subgroup to be separated, an individual separation period is determined separately which runs from the individually determined start time until the end time. A dairy animal which walks to the selection device is guided by the selection device to the separation area if the dairy animal belongs to the subgroup of dairy animals to be separated and if said dairy animal is present at the selection device during the individual separation period determined for said dairy animal. The activity of each dairy animal in the group of dairy animals is observed by an observation system while the dairy animal is in the lying and eating area. The individual separation period of each individual dairy animal from the subgroup to be separated depends on the activity of said dairy animal observed by the observation system.
GUIDE STRUCTURE FOR STALLING ANIMALS SUCH AS CATTLE
A front element for stalling an animal in a free stall, that is better suited than earlier devices to the morphology and movements of the animal to be contained, helping guide the animal when it is positioning itself, standing up and/or lying down in its free stall. Such a front element can be implemented in a pair in a front structure, in order to delimit the internal space I of said free stall.
FLEXIBLE STALL DIVIDER
The invention relates to a stall divider (1) having the general shape of a U, comprising parallel wings (10, 11) which extend to form a curved base (12), with a region (120) in which the distance between said wings (10, 11) is reduced, the free ends of said wings (10, 11) being engaged in sleeves (13), themselves attached to a plate (14), for fixing the divider (1) to a fixed structure, characterized in that It consists of a bent cable with a shape memory that includes: a core (2) formed by a central filament (20), of longitudinal direction, which is surrounded by a set of additional filaments (21), also of longitudinal direction, these additional filaments (21) being wound helically around the central filament (20); a monobloc envelope (3) for the protection of the said core (2), this core (2) and envelope (3) being at least partially polymer-based.
Cubicles for bovine animals and accessories therefor
A projection is provided on a side barrier of a cubicle or stall for a bovine animal, the projection being positioned at the open end of the cubicle through which the animal enters the cubicle. The projection defines a region of reduced opening width which forces the animal to straighten its entry into the cubicle, thereby promoting a straight lying position without reducing the lying area available for the animal within the cubicle. A straight lying position encourages the animal's waste to be deposited away from the animal's bed into a waste channel in the passageway outside the cubicle. Preferably a pair of projections are provided, extending towards one another from the opposed side barriers, such that the reduced opening width region is centered within the overall opening width. The projection is preferably provided as an accessory which can be mounted on the rails of an existing cubicle.
Penning system
A penning system including partitions and barriers movable from a deployed configuration, in which the partitions partition an area over a floor into spaces and in which the barriers enclose the spaces to define pens for penning animals, to a collapsed configuration, wherein the partitions and barriers are collapsed for cleaning the floor.
FLEXIBLE TUBULAR DEVICE COMPRISING A TUBULAR WALL WITH AN ELASTOMER MATRIX, REARING ENCLOSURE COMPRISING SUCH A DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE LATTER
Disclosed is a flexible tubular device including a tubular wall that delimits a sealed chamber intended to be filled with a fluid. The tubular wall includes an elastomer matrix into which at least one reinforcement ply delimited by two longitudinal portions is incorporated. The at least one reinforcement ply has the general shape of a sleeve that extends inside the tubular wall to surround the sealed chamber; and the two longitudinal portions of the at least one reinforcement ply are juxtaposed relative to each other. Also disclosed is a rearing enclosure including such a device, and also a method for manufacturing the latter.
Flexible neckrail coupling
A coupling component for an animal cubicle that includes an engagement member, a pipe collar transverse to the engagement member for receiving a neckrail, a flexible member that extends in opposite directions from the engagement member and connects the engagement member to the pipe collar so that the flexible member encircles a space adjacent the pipe collar. The deformation of the flexible member allows relative movement between the engagement member and the pipe collar.
Cattle chute lamp
A lamp assembly selectively engageable with a frame member of a cattle chute without using tools. The frame member is received into a channel of a mounting assembly of the lamp assembly. A locking mechanism is pivoted to lock the mounting assembly around the frame member. The orientation of the lamp is adjusted by pivoting a support assembly connected to the lamp into a desired position relative to the mounting assembly and engaging locking pins to retain the support assembly in the selected orientation. The lamp includes a plurality of LEDs that are actuated to shine light into the cattle chute. The lamp assembly is removed from the chute frame member by pivoting the locking mechanism back to an unlocked position and then moving the mounting assembly in a direction that causes the frame member to exit the channel.
