Inflatable Swim Platform for Water Sports
A swim platform for attachment to a boat includes a rearwardly tapered inflatable body including a top surface capable of supporting a standing person, an outer perimeter including a forward wall, an aft wall, and a port sidewall and a starboard sidewall extending between the forward wall and aft wall. The forward wall is positionable adjacent the transom. The forward wall is longer than the aft wall and is configured not to extend laterally beyond the starboard and port sides at the transom. The swim platform may be left in the water while the boat is moving and is designed not to interfere with the boat's wake.
EVACUATION SYSTEM WITH WIND LIFT DETERRENT
An evacuation system may comprise an evacuation slide and a first underwing tube. The first underwing tube may be coupled to an outboard tube or an inboard tube of the evacuation slide. The first underwing tube may be configured to extend away from the evacuation slide upon inflation of the first underwing tube.
YOKE STRAP WITH SHOCK ABSORBER
A restraint arrangement for an inflatable slide may comprise a releasable restraint and a yoke coupled to the releasable restraint. The yoke may comprise a first strap and a second strap. A first dampener may be coupled to the first strap. A second dampener may be coupled to the second strap. The first dampener and the second dampener may deform in response to a tensile load.
Nonwoven flexible composites
Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for using nonwoven materials for evacuation slides, life rafts, life vests, and other life-saving inflatable devices. The nonwoven materials have a substrate layer with continuous filaments formed in various directions.
DUAL CONFIGURATION EVACUATION ASSEMBLY
An evacuation assembly of an aircraft may include an evacuation slide and a sheet coupled to the evacuation slide. The sheet may be deployable in a negative lift configuration and a canopy configuration. In the negative lift configuration, the sheet may extend across at least a portion of an underside of the evacuation slide. In the canopy configuration, the sheet may extend over at least a portion of a top side of the evacuation slide. The evacuation assembly may also include a support that is coupled to and extends between the top side of the evacuation slide and the sheet in response to the sheet being in the canopy configuration.
REUSABLE EVACUATION SYSTEM RESTRAINT
A releasable restraint for an inflatable slide is disclosed, in accordance with various embodiments. The releasable restraint may comprise a first mating portion having a receptacle. The releasable restraint may comprise a second mating portion having a protrusion. The protrusion may be configured to fit within the receptacle. An adjustment fastener may be coupled to the receptacle and configured to adjust a coupling strength of the releasable restraint.
LIGHT WEIGHT VARIABLE FORCE RESTRAINT
An evacuation system may comprise an evacuation slide configured to be deployed from an aircraft, a first strap coupled to the evacuation slide, a second strap coupled to the evacuation slide, and a releasable restraint extending through the first strap and the second strap. The releasable restraint may comprise a first stem connected to a first bead and a second stem connected to a second bead, wherein a diameter of the second stem may be different from a diameter of the first stem.
CONTINUOUSLY RESTRAINED EVACUATION SYSTEM
A restraint arrangement for an evacuation system may comprise a first strap configured to be disposed along a length of the evacuation system, and a second strap configured to be disposed along the length of the evacuation system, wherein the first strap is coupled to the second strap, the first strap is coupled to the evacuation system via a first plurality of attachment members along the length of the evacuation system, the second strap is coupled to the evacuation system via a second plurality of attachment members along the length of the evacuation system, and the first strap is configured to separate from the second strap in response to a predetermined load.
NEGATIVE LIFT EVACUATION SLIDE
The evacuation assembly may include an evacuation slide having a head portion, a toe portion, a longitudinal axis, a top surface, and a bottom surface. In various embodiments, the longitudinal axis extends centrally along a length of the evacuation slide from the head portion to the toe portion. In various embodiments, a top perimetrical length of the top surface of the toe portion of the evacuation slide in a width direction that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis is less than a bottom perimetrical length of the bottom surface of the toe portion of the evacuation slide in the width direction.
Canopy Support
A canopy support for an inflatable evacuation device may comprise a first canopy support segment and a second canopy support segment configured to fit at least partially within the first canopy support segment when the canopy support is in a stowed state and configured to interlock with the first canopy support segment in an extended position when the canopy support is in a deployed state. The first canopy support segment may include a first interlocking portion. The second canopy support segment may include a second interlocking portion. The second interlocking portion may be configured to mate with the first interlocking portion.
