An apparatus (1800), including: a center section (1814) configured as a cockpit cover for a boat; a first support (1802) secured to a first end of the center section, the first support including a first telescoping assembly (1804); and a second support (1808) secured to a second end of the center section, the second support including a second telescoping assembly (1810). The first telescoping assembly and the second telescoping assembly cooperate to raise and lower the center section between a first position and a second position. At least one of the first support and the second support comprises a storage compartment (2210, 2211).

A non-metal seat comprising a non-metal frame work and a non-metal open mesh seating surface stretched across an opening in a base portion of the non-metal framework and a non-metal open mesh back rest surface stretched across an opening in a back support portion of the non-metal framework. The non-metal frame is constructed from plastic and the non-metal open mesh comprises a woven or knit open mesh panel comprising nylon, vinyl, or a combination thereof. The seat has a pivoting mechanism coupling the base portion to the back support portion such that the non-metal seat is a foldable seat.

A boat including first and second aft-facing seats. The first aft-facing seat has a first seating surface. The second aft-facing seat has a second seating surface. The second seating surface is forward of the first seating surface. The second seating surface may be at a level higher than the first seating surface. A seating system for installation on a marine vessel includes a base to be connected to a deck of the marine vessel and a pedestal to be removably installed in an upright position on or in the base. The base includes a built-in first electrical connector to be electrically connected to a power source on the marine vessel. The pedestal includes a second electrical connector designed to mate with the first electrical connector in the base. A base for the seating system and a pedestal for the seating system are also disclosed.

A boat including one or more seats, which may be aft-facing. The seat includes a seat bottom, which may be movable between a first position and a second position. The second position is a position in which the seat bottom is pivoted upwardly relative to the position of the seat bottom in the first position to allow access to a hidden compartment. The seat may also include a leg rest. The leg rest may extend aft of the transom, and may extend in a direction that is at a downward angle relative to the seat bottom. The leg rest may also have a length such that a gap is present between the leg rest and a surface beneath the leg rest.

A mount adapter, comprising a base securable to a gunwale or a frame on a gunwale that may support the mounting of a combination of boating and fishing items, which may include a seat, footrest, armrest, anchor line feed, motor mount, and other various boating and fishing accessories. The mount adapter may offer a swivel intermediate the base and a seat to facilitate the seat having both an orientation to face inwardly to the boat and outwardly from the boat. The mount adapter may offer a footrest and an anchor guide that may extend outwardly from the boat.

Disclosed herein is a convertible ergonomic backrest and portage yoke for use on a solo canoe bench seat. In preferred embodiments, the device comprises a U-shaped back tube that is pivotably connected to the bench seat. Extending from the upper back part of the back tube are a pair of spaced upper pivot brackets that hold a pivot axle substantially horizontal between them. Coupled to the pivot axle is a pair of spaced shoulder pads. In a seated configuration, the back tube is pivoted to an upright position. In a storage configuration, the back tube pivots downward to the canoe bench seat with shoulder pads positioned between the spaced tube legs of the back tube. In a portage configuration, the shoulder pad assembly is pivoted so that the shoulder pads extend outward from the back tube for ergonomic portage of the solo canoe above the user's shoulders.

A system for a boat can include a pair of seat rails configured to simultaneously couple the seat to a floor of the boat in any one of multiple positions in a longitudinal direction of the seat rails, the seat rails being parallel to each other when the seat is coupled to the floor.
