Disclosed herein is a multi-purpose storage container having various configurations. For example, multi-purpose storage container may be transformed to a cargo box, portable storage unit, tent or other shelter, sled, boat, and the like by configuring one or more components. The multi-purpose storage container may be mounted to a vehicle. Once mounted, the interior of the multi-purpose storage container may be accessed from inside the vehicle through a moveable section of the platform that aligns with a sunroof of the vehicle.

A collapsible kayak may include a single-piece hull including a plurality of crease lines along which the hull is foldable. A floorboard lines a midship portion of the hull between a bow portion and a stern portion, and the floorboard includes a base and a pair of outboard walls permanently fixed at distal ends to port and starboard gunwales of the hull. The bow, stem, and midship portions are configured as a tri-fold, such that the bow portion and the stern portion of the kayak are foldable toward each other to overlap the midship portion of the hull when collapsed.

A two-section kayak is disclosed where a user can create a gap between a kayak front section and a kayak back section, and use this gap to enter and exit the water. Connecting poles are preferably used to create the gap and retain structural integrity of the kayak when the two sections are separated. A variety of foot stirrups and ladders are contemplated to allow a user to more easily reenter the kayak through the gap. One or more gap alcoves are contemplated to store a stirrup or ladder and to allow the user ready access to swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving accessories while in the gap. A viewing portal, and a hanging seat/platform are contemplated for attachment in the gap, to allow users a more varied kayaking experience. An optional third kayak section is contemplated to add storage space or turn a single kayak into a double kayak.

A canoe and platform combination assembly includes a platform that has a top side, a bottom side, a front edge, a rear edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. A plurality of arms is attached to the platform. The arms engage canoes positioned adjacent to the first and second lateral sides such that the canoes are orientated parallel to each other. A plurality of tethers is provided. Each of the arms has one of the tethers positioned thereon. Each of the tethers is positioned around one of a plurality of braces of the canoes.

A collapsible watercraft comprised of a single high-strength foldable panel that is creased in a predetermined pattern to form living hinges, the panel being foldable to transform from self-defined compact knocked down package, into a rigid three dimensional kayak form. Other removable rigid structural members, bulkheads, seat assembly and floorboards help maintain the shape and integrity of the shell.

A watercraft includes a plurality of separable body sections (2101, 2102, 2103, 2104, 2105, 2106) configured for assembly into a single assembled structure (2100) having a first length, and for packing into a packed structure (3000) having a second length smaller than the first length. The single assembled structure may be held together using latching devices, one or more of the latching devices including a latch unit comprising a latch support, a spring mount and a band spring, the band spring having a first spring end and a second spring end, wherein the latch support includes a latch and a first shaft positioned in relationship to the latch, the first shaft configured for rotatably mounting the first spring end of the band spring, and the spring mount includes a second shaft configured for rotatably mounting the second spring end of the band spring.

A watertight foldable system comprises a watertight panel in which folds have been made such that the panel may be folded from a flat state into an open-top watercraft such as for example a canoe. The panel comprises a set of folds such that the watercraft, after it has been folded into watercraft, has a bottom having a flat profile in longitudinal direction or having a convex profile relative to the watercraft.

The collapsible water vessel is deployed as either a kayak or a canoe. The collapsible water vessel is portable and is stored as or in a backpack. The collapsible water vessel deploys with a bottom configuration selected from the group consisting of a normal bottom, a deep V bottom, and a flat bottom. The collapsible water vessel comprises an outer frame, one or more ribs, one or more seats, an outer shell, a flooring bladder, and a plurality of elastic cords. The outer shell provides a barrier between the interior of the collapsible water vessel and the water within which the collapsible water vessel is placed. The outer frame, the one or more ribs, the one or more seats, the flooring bladder, and the plurality of elastic cords form the physical structure upon which the outer shell attaches.
