LIVESTOCK HOUSE AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM
A system for mitigating airborne pathogens from a livestock house is disclosed. In an embodiment, there is disclosed a cross-flow ventilation system, which is fluidly connected to a livestock house and configured to control the air quality and movement by introducing ambient air into at least one air filtration system that is attached to a side wall of the house; conditioning the air in the air filtration system by performing at least one step selected from filtering, cooling, disinfecting, or pressurizing the air; introducing the conditioned air into an air chamber; flowing the conditioned air from the air chamber into the house through at least one ventilation panel to the opposing sidewall with a laminar or substantially laminal flow of air; and removing the air from the house using an exhaust fan attached to a side wall opposite the side wall containing the air filtration system.
Livestock structures and related methods
Some embodiments of the present livestock structures comprise a floor, wherein the floor is configured to support livestock housing; a roof, wherein a majority of the roof is substantially parallel to the floor; and one or more supporting structures configured to support the roof; in some embodiments, the floor comprises a non-zero slope. Some embodiments of the present livestock structures comprise a passageway extending a majority of a distance between a first side and an opposing second side of the structure, wherein the passageway is positioned at an elevation that is below an elevation of the floor.
Methods and apparatus for a self contained expandable pet carrier
The present disclosure provides methods and apparatus to support transport of a pet in a self-contained expandable carrier. In some examples, the carrier may be worn by a user to support the pet in a proximate location. A pet carrier which may be worn may provide comfort to pet owners while they travel.
HABITAT LIGHTING ASSEMBLY
A lighting assembly includes a light guide having opposite first and second major surfaces and at least one edge surface extending between the first and second major surfaces, a solid-state light source arranged to emit light into the edge surface of the light guide, and a plurality of integrated optical elements associated with the first major surface to redirect the light emitted by the solid-state light source. The lighting assembly may further include an air circulation device and a heat transfer system configured to transfer heat generated by the solid-state lighting source to a flow of air generated by the air circulation device. The solid-state light source may include light-emitting diodes, laser diodes, and/or organic light emitting diodes configured to produce multiple colors. Also provided is a habitat including the lighting assembly, and related methods.
Pet carer and controlling method thereof
Disclosed is a pet carer. The present invention includes a base, a container located on the base, the container having a space for receiving a pet therein, an entrance for the pet to enter/exit the space, and a discharge hole provided therein to discharge air, a door selectively opening/closing the entrance, a door drive device provided to the base to drive the door, a compressor supplying the air to the discharge hole, a filter unit located under the container to filter off dirt separated from the pet, and a suction fan located under the container to suck air into the filter unit.
DEVICE FOR MEASURING AMOUNT OF MOISTURE GENERATED IN LIVESTOCK SHELTER FLOORING MATERIAL
The present invention relates to a device for measuring the amount of moisture generated in a livestock shelter flooring material and can measure the amount of moisture generated in a flooring material according to the temperature, relative humidity, wind velocity, and flooring material moisture content conditions inside a livestock shelter.
AIR ODOR REMOVAL SYSTEM WITH SEWAGE PLUMBING ATTACHMENT
An air odor removal system with sewage or septic plumbing attachment removes odors from a stand-alone structural housing, such as a litter box or toilet bowl. The air odor removal system includes a first odor conduit assembly that is fluidly coupled, from one end, to the structural housing, and from an opposing end to an air mover device that creates a vacuum in the first odor conduit assembly. A motion sensor detects a motion event at the structural housing, and signals the air mover to power on. A second odor conduit assembly carries the odor from the air mover device to a one-way valve. A sewage plumbing conduit carries the odor from the one-way valve, and fluidly couples to a sink and a sewage storage, where the odor is finally discharged. The sewage plumbing conduit comprises a generally U-shaped pipe that restricts the odor from flowing to the sink.
Livestock blower apparatus
A livestock blower apparatus for blowing air through a flexible hose onto an animal. A pair of blower units are enclosed within an interior space of a housing. The blower units are adapted to draw air through housing inlet openings and force it through a Y-shaped conduit out through a housing outlet opening without the air coming in contact with the housing interior space. A cooling fan is provided at a housing cooling inlet opening and blows air into the housing interior space. Another cooling fan is provided at a housing cooling outlet opening and draws/blows air out from within the housing interior space. The blower units are thereby protected from the elements and noise generated by them is muffled by the housing, and the blower units are cooled for minimizing the heat that may be transferred to the air being blown onto the animal.
