Facilitation of canine detection of illegal substances in vehicles
A system includes a container to enclose vehicles within a chamber, an enclosed structure to house a canine to perform odor detection, and an air duct positioned therebetween. The container includes a first door, a second door, and a raised floor. The raised floor includes a first ramp leading to the first door, a second ramp leading to the second door, and sets of vent ducts defined between an outer wall and a top wall of the raised floor, the sets of vent ducts to direct air flow upwardly into the chamber of the container. The air duct includes a proximal end located proximate to an opening within the top wall of the container, a distal end fed through the enclosed structure to a canine-sniffing location, and one or more fan to pull air out of the chamber and deliver the air to the canine-sniffing location within the enclosed structure.
Pet carrier including detachable litter box
A pet carrier assembly, including: a cage housing adapted to selectively contain a pet; and a lower litter pan adapted to be selectively coupled to and removed from a bottom portion of the cage housing; wherein bottom portion of the cage housing includes a waste grate that forms at least a portion of a floor of the cage housing and is selectively disposed within or adjacent to an interior portion of the lower litter pan with the bottom portion of the cage housing. The pet carrier assembly includes a solid removable floor disposed in the bottom portion of the cage housing and adapted to cover the waste grate, and a seal disposed about a periphery of the removable floor. Optionally, the lower litter pan includes a cut away operable for providing access to an interior portion of the lower litter pan.
VENT FOR LIVESTOCK STALL
An elongated vent includes a first piece and a second piece. The first piece has a first upper portion, a first middle portion and a first lower portion. The second piece is a mirror image of the first piece, the second piece having a second upper portion, a second middle portion and a second lower portion. The first and second pieces are joined together at their respective first and second middle portions, wherein each of the first and second middle portions includes a plurality of apertures therethrough, to form a perforated panel. The first and second upper portions form a first channel; the first and second lower portions form a second channel.
Ratcheted pipe and strap operating drive system for door mechanisms
A ratcheted Pipe and Strap Operating Drive System (PSODS) is disclosed which efficiently and accurately positions a blocker, or door mechanism, over an opening which is of similar profile and dimensions as the door mechanism. In the preferred embodiment, PSODS is used to vary the position of a poultry house ventilation blocker or door mechanism from a tightly-closed position against the opening, or when required, within a certain range of door mechanism open positions, as dictated by weather conditions or internal air quality. At least two ratcheted reels are co-axially connected to the exterior of a tubular pipe drive. Each reel is connected, at its core, to the first end of a strap, with the second end of the strap being connected to the door mechanism. Upon axial rotation of the pipe drive in either direction, the reels simultaneously rotate, straps move correspondingly so as to position the entire door mechanism within a desired range relative to the opening.
VENTILATION SYSTEM FOR PIG-RAISING FACILITIES
The present invention relates to a ventilation system for pig-raising facilities, comprising: a pig house (110) comprising a plurality of pig rooms (a) in which pigs are raised, and comprising an intermediate ceiling (113) and an upper ceiling (115) which are spaced apart from each other; a pit (120) provided at the bottom of the plurality of pig rooms (a); a plurality of roof exhaust fans (140) arranged at positions corresponding to the plurality of pig rooms (a), along the edge regions of the intermediate ceiling (113); and a plurality of air entry slots (150) provided in a plate surface of the intermediate ceiling (113) at constant intervals. At the front surface of the pig house (110), there are provided a lower window (114) which is provided between the intermediate ceiling (113) and the upper ceiling (115) and through which external air is introduced, and an upper window (116) which is provided between the upper ceiling (115) and a roof (112) and through which external air is introduced. At the rear surface of the pig house (110), lower exhaust fans (117) are provided to face the lower window (114), and upper exhaust fans (118) are provided to face the upper window (116).
Pet carrier
A pet carrier including a bottom portion and a top portion having an attachment portion secured to the back wall of the bottom portion and extending away from the back wall of the bottom portion distal the front wall of the bottom portion, wherein the attachment portion of the bottom portion rotatably secures to the attachment portion of the top portion, a first lobe extends from a portion of the first side wall distal the ceiling, and a second lob extends from a portion of the second side wall distal the ceiling.
ANIMAL CRATE WITH SWING OR DROP DOOR ASSEMBLY
A door assembly includes a frame having interconnected wires that define an opening for an animal to pass therethrough, and a door having interconnected wires and being coupled to the frame. A latch assembly has a handle structure and a pin. The handle structure is pivotable with respect to one of the door and the frame, and the pin is movable axially with respect to one of the door and the frame. A first wire of the plurality of wires of the frame forms a key hole assembly. The key hole assembly defines an aperture for receiving the pin when the door is in a latched position with respect to the frame. A tab assembly is formed by at least one wire of the door and is disposable behind at least one of the plurality of wires of the frame in the closed position.
Cat carrier configured for ease of assembly without tools
A cat carrier includes a tray, and an enclosure formed of: a lower housing portion with an upper mating flange, and an upper housing portion with a lower mating flange. Protrusions on one mating flange slidably engage openings formed with respect to the other mating flange, to releasably couple the housings together without tools. Holes in each of the mating flanges align, when the housing portions are mated, and each aligned pair of holes receives a fastener to releasably secure the housing portions together. The holes on one flange transition into a keyed opening (e.g. a hexagonal-shaped opening) that receives a hex head of a bolt, to prevent rotation of the bolt when a wing nut is tightened onto the fastener, permitting final assembly without the use of tools. The protrusions create a gap between the flanges, forming a track, which receives/guides a flange of the base.
THREE-PIECE NESTING CAT LITTER DEVICE
Provided is a Three-Piece Nesting Cat Litter Device constructed of an upper top cover section, a middle interior insert section and a lower bottom tray section with the middle interior insert section having a shelf ledge to support an inserted non-stick paper, and a swinging flapper door for entry. Air filter odor eliminator sections are located on the door, the walls or the top surface of the top section. A liner bag is placed in the lower bottom tray section. A sheet of non-stick paper is placed in the insert section with cat litter being placed upon the non-stick paper. For cleaning, the middle interior insert section is raised and the non-stick paper and used cat litter material drops by gravity into the plastic bag to be disposed of quickly and conveniently without creating dust and odors associated with changing used cat litter.
