Shape memory alloy actuator for inflation device
An inflation device is provided including a shell, a pin, a restraining element, and a moveable element. The shell is adapted to be coupled to an inflation canister. The pin is positioned within the shell. The pin is adapted to open a seal of the inflation canister. The restraining element is positioned within the shell. The moveable element includes a shape memory alloy. The moveable element is moveable from a first position to a second position responsive to electrical energy sent to the moveable element. While the moveable element is in the first position, the restraining element is secured within the shell to restrain the pin from opening the seal of the inflation canister. While the moveable element is in the second position, the pin is releasable to open the seal of the inflation canister.
A SAFETY DEVICE FOR SECURING A THREADED CONNECTION BETWEEN A GAS CYLINDER AND AN ACTUATOR OF AN INFLATABLE LIFE VEST, A SAFETY ARRANGEMENT, A LIFE VEST ASSEMBLY, AND USE OF SUCH DEVICE, ARRANGEMENT AND ASSEMBLY
A safety device is for securing a threaded connection between a gas cylinder and an actuator of an inflatable life vest, where the gas cylinder has an elongated cylindrical outer surface in respect to its longitudinal axis and a threaded end portion configured to be connected to a corresponding threading of said actuator, and the safety device has a capsule body forming an internal compartment configured to receive the gas cylinder, wherein the internal compartment has a form conforming to the outer cylindrical surface of the gas cylinder with a clearance between the capsule body and the outer cylindrical surface of the gas cylinder. The capsule body is configured to revolve around the longitudinal axis of the gas cylinder when the gas cylinder is connected to the actuator.
LIFE JACKET FOR AQUATIC ENVIRONMENT
The life jacket comprises a harness arranged to be fitted over the torso of an individual and having a dorsal structure, a ventral structure and a belt, ventral buoyancy tubes connected to the harness, and manual inflation means for inflating the ventral buoyancy tubes. The ventral buoyancy tubes are arranged on the ventral structure of the harness, in the uninflated state, folded against the ventral structure of the harness and, in the inflated state, deployed along the ventral structure. The ventral tubes are connected to inflatable connectors extending within the belt. Due to the tubes, in case of difficulty, the head of the swimmer is out of the water and turned upwards. Otherwise, the swimmer is not made uncomfortable.
SLIDE FASTENER
A slide fastener pan includes a multiplicity of sequentially arranged fastening element locations (SOB), extending from a start position (A) to an end position (B), and a fastening element (35B) at respective oues of the locations (SOB), the slide fastener part being configured for attachment to and detachment from an oppositely positioned associated slide fastener part having a multiplicity of sequentially arranged fastening elements (35A) by the movement of a sliding element (12), the attachment being by abutment of abutment portions of oppositely positioned ones of fastening elements (35A, 35B), wherein the first-mentioned multiplicity of sequentially arranged fastening element locations (30B) include a plurality of adjacent ones of the locations (30B)′, between the start position (A) to the end position (B), that are modified so as to provide a region (40) between the start position and the end position at which the attached slide fastener parts are relatively easily separated. The slide fastener part carries a flexible strip (60A) that extends over the fastening locations (30B, 30B)′ and is configured to abut a corresponding flexible strip (60A) of the oppositely positioned associated slide fastener part.
Personal Flotation Device
A personal flotation device and method are disclosed to provide improved visibility for a person wearing the device in the water. The device is composed of a complex inflatable manifold including an extension that, when inflated, projects above the water's surface. The extension may also include a light and may also include a flag.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL BABY FLOAT
The present invention relates to a baby float. The multi-functional baby float comprises a float body and a buoyant tail for increasing the buoyancy of the back; the buoyant tail is detachably connected with the end of the float body; and the back of a head of the float body is provided with an elevating mechanism for raising the head of the float body. The elevating mechanism comprises an inflatable airbag or a connecting structure. The connecting structure comprises some rows of female buckles; the buoyant tail is provided with son buckles; and the buoyant tail is fixedly connected with the float body through the matching of the son buckles and the female buckles. The present invention has the characteristics that the back buoyancy can be increased to prevent roll-back, the buoyant tail can be detached and installed below a headrest.
INFLATABLE WATER SAFETY HARNESS WITH LOAD BEARING STRUCTURE
The present disclosure relates, in one aspect of the disclosure, to an inflatable water sport safety garment for providing buoyancy to a wearer comprising a harness structure, at least one handle, and at least one inflatable flotation device. The harness structure may include at least two shoulder portions, at least one torso portion encircling the torso of the wearer and attached to the shoulder portions, and at least one central portion connected to the shoulder portions.
Water safety garment, related apparatus and methods
A water safety garment and apparatus configured to avoid drowning can be configured to permit submergence for a predetermined period of time without inflation. After the predetermined time has passed, the garment or other apparatus can be configured to inflate to help a person wearing the garment float on top of the water to avoid drowning or other potentially harmful condition that may result from being underwater for too long. In some embodiments, a circuit may be utilized to detect the submergence condition of a person wearing the apparatus or garment. Upon a determination that the detected submergence condition has occurred continuously for a pre-determined period of time, an inflation mechanism can be actuated to force the person wearing the apparatus or garment to float to the top of the water.
