Bobbin for Automatic Inflator
A bobbin assembly for an automatic inflator including a generally cylindrical wall, a plurality of arms positioned in a ring centered about and parallel to a longitudinal axis of the bobbin, each arm being pivotably connected to a rim of the cylindrical wall by a living hinge, at least one of the arms including a radial seat extending toward the longitudinal axis of the bobbin to form an annular seat having a diameter to retain a head of a spring-loaded actuator pin of the automatic inflator to hold the spring-loaded actuator pin in a cocked position, a toroidal pill positioned between a lumen of the cylindrical wall and the ringed arms to retain the arms in position centered about and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bobbin such that the annular seat maintains the diameter to retain the head of the spring-loaded actuator pin, thereby holding the spring-loaded actuator pin in the cocked position and a web interconnecting at least one of adjacent pairs of the arms allowing the paired arms to pivot outwardly via their respective living hinges in unison.
Inflatable personal bodywear flotation device
A persona! flotation device for a user comprises a bodywear member, as well as a container containing buoyant gas and an actuation assembly, both of which are mounted to the bodywear member. The bodywear member is to be worn to by the user such as on the wrist or the neck. The actuation assembly is in operative communication with the container containing buoyant gas for selectively being actuated so as to provide fluid communication between the container containing buoyant gas and the inflatable member. Actuation of the actuation assembly provides for releasing the buoyant gas into the inflatable member causing the inflatable member to inflate and provide buoyancy to the persona! flotation device.

Inconspicuous Flotation Apparatus
An inflatable personal flotation device worn about the waist level as a belt or as incorporated into a swimming garment is disclosed, that is inconspicuous and may be worn over, under or even be incorporated into almost any type of apparel. This waist belt PFD in its uninflated state is practical, comfortable, attractive and inconspicuous. The PFD contains an outer compartment housing a buoyancy component, activated by pressurized gas or other means, and has one or more straps to secure the device to the wearer. Upon inflation the apparatus, being deployed and powered by its own buoyancy, rises above the waterline into a rescue configuration turning and positions a wearer upright with their head above water.
Inflation device with means for preventing the removal of the gas container
An inflation device for an inflatable article comprises a housing for supporting a container of pressurized fluid and for supporting piercing means which is displaceable from a retracted position to penetrate the container and allow release of pressurized fluid, said container being contained within a protected casing which is secured non-releasably to the housing thereby to prevent removal of the pressurized container.

PRESSURE CARTRIDGE AND ACTIVATION MECHANISM
Several pressure cartridges and activation mechanism arrangements are disclosed which are configured to use less manual force to rupture the cartridge than current pressure cartridges and activation mechanisms. According to some embodiments, the activation mechanism requires lower manual activation force by using the pressure in the cartridge to do part of the rupturing work. The cartridge can be filled with compressed gas such as nitrogen and argon, or supercritical fluids such as carbon dioxide, and can be used to propel or operate several types of devices and mechanisms including medical drug auto-injectors, paintball guns, tire emergency inflation kits, and inflatable life vests.
PNEUMATIC INFLATION SYSTEM
A valve includes a valve body, an inlet in the valve body in fluid communication with the gas and an outlet in the valve body, and a rupture disc in fluid communication with and between the inlet and the outlet that prevents fluid communication between the inlet and the outlet. The valve also includes a piston that is urged by a gas from the gas source to rupture the rupture disc to allow fluid communication between the gas source and the outlet.
Perforator and gas discharge apparatus
The present invention relates to a perforator for breaking a closing member at a gas outlet of a gas bottle to allow a gas to flow out. The perforator includes a cylindrical housing having three openings, namely, a first opening at a first end portion, a second opening at a second end portion which is opposite to the first end portion, and a third opening formed in a circumferential wall portion, an ignition device being fixed at the first opening, the second opening to be connected to the gas bottle and the third opening serving as a gas discharge portion, and when a pressure created by actuation of the ignition device is received, the first piston moving in an axial direction, and the second piston moving towards the second opening by receiving the movement of the first piston.
Inflator with high flow rate
A high flow rate inflator intended to be threaded into or onto the threaded neck of a conventional gas cylinder. The inflator comprises a spring-loaded ballasted firing pin that is retained in a cocked position by a tethered trigger pin. Upon firing by pulling on the trigger pin, the firing pin forcibly moves into engagement with a power primer mounted with a power primer holder to ignite the same, whereupon the ignition gases forcibly drives a hollow larger diameter pierce pin mounted within an interior cylinder into the frangible seal of the gas cartridge to cut a large-bore hole therethrough and allow gas escaping from the gas cylinder to flow at a high rate through the inflator into an inflatable device.
