A portable waste-collection system fits under a temporary enclosure or inside a permanent enclosure at a venue engaged for a temporary event, such as a fair, rodeo, animal show, or the like. A frame, deck, rollers, and motor drive a movable layer, such as belt supported on a frame and deck. Collected waste and bedding is carried out of the pen into a drain conduit and solids conveyor. Sanitizing spray washes, rinses, and sanitizes before draining out across a drain board into the conduit. A temporary holding subsystem may segregate solids and liquids, but contains them for hauling or discharging to a suitable waste processing destination.

Under normal conditions it can hold approximately 6 months of daily liquid waste. A sloped transportation member is positioned on top of the base container, wherein the sloped transportation member is configured to direct liquid waste to the hollow base container through a drain hole. A segment housing member is positioned on top of the sloped transportation member, wherein the segment housing member includes a plurality of segment units, each segment unit of the plurality of segment units having a segment member, wherein the segment member's position in the segment unit provides a space, the space allowing liquid waste to pass through the segment housing member and enter the sloped transportation member. A plurality of litter sand particles positioned in the plurality of segment units are provided enabling a surface of domesticated cats and animals to defecate.

A pet enclosure includes a bottom section, a middle section, and a top section. The middle section is connectable to the bottom section with an opening in the middle section. The opening in the middle section has a bottom portion that connects with a top portion of an opening in the bottom section. The top section is connectable to the middle section with an opening in the top section. The opening in the top section has a bottom portion that connects with a top portion of an opening in the bottom section. The bottom section, middle section and top section when connected together form an enclosed pet enclosure with an animal opening therein.

A collecting device collects the animal excrement picked up by the pick-up device, and the collecting device is connected to an outlet opening of the worm housing, arranged between the first and second conveyor section. The worm housing has a first pick-up opening in the region of the first conveyor section and a second pick-up opening in the region of the second conveyor section.

The floor of the defecation region is formed by the upper run of a conveyor belt, through which urine that is produced can pass. A collecting trough for the urine is arranged under the upper run of the conveyor belt, from which collecting trough the urine is guided away and directed into a urine collection container outside the shed. An excrement scraper is disposed proximate the conveyor belt in the region of the rear deflection thereof. The excrement scraper, during the forward movement of the conveyor belt, scrapes the excrement on the conveyor belt off onto a discharge conveyor belt, in such a way that a separation of excrement and urine takes place.
