SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT OF CULTIVATION POLLUTION IN SCALABLE PIG FARM
A system for comprehensive treatment of cultivation pollution in a scalable pig farm includes a source separation pigsty, a pigsty flushing water treatment system, a solid-liquid separation system, a solid high-temperature aerobic fermentation system, a liquid high-temperature aerobic fermentation system, an odor and flue gas treatment system, a boiler system and a test and control system. The source separation pigsty is designed into a pigsty that separates feces and urine from rainwater, pigsty flushing water and residual drinking water. The sludge pump pumps the feces and urine to the solid-liquid separation device. Solids separated by the solid-liquid separation device are conveyed to the solid high-temperature aerobic fermentation system, and liquid separated by the solid-liquid separation device is conveyed to the liquid high-temperature aerobic fermentation system. The boiler system includes a boiler, a circulating pump, a hot water pipeline and a water return pipeline.
IMPROVED METHOD FOR TREATING A LIQUID WASTE FRACTION FROM ANIMAL WASTE
The present invention relates to an improved process for downstream processing of liquid waste fraction from mammalian, such as animal, waste. More specifically the present invention provides an improved and simplified method for downstream processing of liquid fractions of animal waste in which the nitrogen content is preserved and for inhibiting urease activity in said liquid.
Pasture barn
A barn for housing dairy cows includes a feeding and milking area, and a pasture area. The feeding and milking area comprises a plurality of feeding stations, each feeding station including: a manger configured to permit a cow to obtain dry feed; a waterer configured to permit the cow to obtain drinking water; and a head lock configured to releasably secure the cow in the feeding station while the cow is being milked. The pasture area is configured to permit a plurality of cows to lay down. The pasture area includes a raised bed composed of a bedding material and having a predetermined slope selected to facilitate removal of excess liquid from the pasture area.
INFRARED DRYING SYSTEMS
A rotatable drum for an infrared drying system includes a body having a first end defining an entry opening, an opposite second end, and a plurality of planar sides extending therebetween. At least one of the planar sides defines an exit opening adjacent to the first end. An interior cavity is defined by the first and second ends and the planar sides, and the interior cavity is configured to receive solids at the entry opening and discharge solids at the exit opening. The body also includes at least one flight extending from an interior surface of the body into the interior cavity. The at least one flight is configured to channel solids from the entry opening to the back end when the drum is rotating clockwise and to channel solids from the second end to the exit opening when the drum is rotating counter-clockwise.
An infrared heating system is disclosed that includes an enclosed tube extending from a first open end to a second open end, the enclosed tube having a sidewall opening in a sidewall of the tube at a location between the first and second open ends; an infrared heater mounted to the exterior of the enclosed tube such that heating elements of the infrared heater are exposed to the tube sidewall opening; and an auger disposed within the enclosed tube, the auger being driven by a drive system such that material fed into the enclosed tube at the first open end is transported to the second open end of the tube and is exposed to the heating elements of the infrared heater as the material is transported between the first and second open ends.
SHED, IN PARTICULAR FOR HOLDING PIGS
The invention relates to a shed with a defecation region, a rest region, a feeding region and an activity region. The floor of the defecation region is formed by the upper run of a conveyor belt, through which urine that is produced can pass. A collecting trough for the urine is arranged under the upper run of the conveyor belt, from which collecting trough the urine is guided away and directed into a urine collection container outside the shed. An excrement scraper is disposed proximate the conveyor belt in the region of the rear deflection thereof. The excrement scraper, during the forward movement of the conveyor belt, scrapes the excrement on the conveyor belt off onto a discharge conveyor belt, in such a way that a separation of excrement and urine takes place.
Flooring, in particular for the floor of an enclosure for raising animals
Disclosed is a flooring, in particular for an enclosure for raising animals. This flooring includes side members which are made of a resilient material and which are intended to be juxtaposed in order to form a support surface. The side members include recesses suitable for engaging with spacers which are added in order to stabilize the juxtaposed side members at a fixed spacing. And the attachment portions of the spacers and the recesses of two juxtaposed side members are designed in order to conserve a space, advantageously a groove opening upwards, between the side faces of the juxtaposed side members.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ANAEROBIC DIGESTION OF ANIMAL WASTES
A new method of disposing of waste for the hog industry is disclosed which avoids use of lagoons. Manure is semi-continuously degritted, anaerobically digested and digested with biomass to produce bio-organic fertilizer and biogas.
Animal habitat cage with waste disposal flooring
An improved animal habitat cage with waste disposal flooring. A cage body is formed from a top wall and four side walls removably suspended by legs attached to each sidewall. In a first embodiment, a pullout movable bottom that defines a floor on the cage body is used in conjunction with a plurality of scraping elements. The scraping elements may be placed along a cross-member attached between opposing front legs and are constructed and arranged to maintain contact with a top surface of the movable bottom. The bottom is pulled out from the cage body and the scraping elements push waste matter towards the edge of the tray and into the container. An alternative embodiment employs a hinged floor for waste disposal wherein waste matter is directed to a container.
Comprehensive poultry manure management method
An integrated system of technology applications and methods to provide comprehensive management of poultry waste improves the productivity of poultry housing facilities while reducing the environmental and public health impacts of poultry production. The method utilizes a plurality of housing units, each including plenum flooring and ventilation to improve the health of birds as they grow from hatchlings to market size adults. After the birds are removed from the housing units, manure is immediately removed from the flooring system and preferably transported to a processing facility. The units are cleaned and fumigated with ozone so that they are ready to receive a new flock within approximately 48 hours from removal of the preceding flock.
