Series Addition Aerofoil Launching System
The drag sail has multiple ropes (2) for attaching to a ship (3). A profiled plastic structure in wave form or zigzag is formed by transverse ribs (4). The transverse ribs run together transverse to the wind direction at a distance and exhibit any form e.g. circular, semicircular or square, in shape. The transverse ribs receive the ropes at its end points, and additional ropes (2A) in a middle region. The drag sail is made of plastic or cloth.
Sailing vessel
The present disclosure is directed generally toward sailing vessels. One example is a catamaran with one or more pivoting masts per hull member, which may pivot from a generally perpendicular upright position, to a generally flat stowed position toward the bow of the hulls. The masts are capable of sustaining a plurality of sails, which may travel 180 degrees with respect to the hulls.

TETHERED-WING TRACTION SYSTEM COMPRISING A DEVICE FOR GRIPPING FOLDING LINES
Tethered-wing traction system including: a traction wing; a base platform; a mooring mast; a plurality of folding lines; a folding carriage adapted to slide along the mooring mast; an input device (22) which is attached to the leading edge of the traction wing and which has a hooking arm (25) provided with a hooking stem (27A, 27B, 27C), one of the folding lines projecting into the extension of the hooking stem (27A, 27B, 27C); the folding carriage having a gripping hook which is movable between a retracted position and a gripping position in which the gripping hook surrounds the hooking stem (27A, 27B, 27C).
Method and System for Controlling the Winding/Unwinding of a Rope Portion onto/from a Rotary Drum
A method and a system for controlling the winding/unwinding of a rope portion onto/from a rotary drum, comprises the step of making available a rope which is at least partially wound onto a rotary drum, wherein the rope is guided from the rotary drum along a defined path as far as a hauling point, wherein a traction force acts on the rope beyond the hauling point. The method comprises unwinding or winding the rope by executing a rotation of the rotary drum, such that a defined rope portion is moved along the defined path; and determining the length of the defined rope portion in the region of the defined path. The method comprises determining an angle difference corresponding to the rotation of the rotary drum; and controlling the rotary drum for further winding/unwinding taking into account the length and the angle difference. A calibration in the region of the defined path during the use of the rotary drum provides a control for the rotary drum.
FLOATING WIND POWER GENERATION SYSTEM USING SAILING SHIP
A floating wind power generation system consists of a hull equipped with a sail, a kite connected to the hull via a tether, a lateral force generating unit that generates lateral force in a direction approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the hull, and a lateral force generator at the bow of the hull. A steering device for controlling the direction, and a control unit for controlling at least one of the angle of the sail and the steering device so that the tension of the kite is reduced by the lateral force.

KITE-POWERED UNMANNED UNDERWATER VEHICLE
A wind-powered unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) system can include a kite subsystem configured to be powered by wind energy, a control pod coupled with the kite sub-system and configured to control the kite sub-system, a payload platform configured to provide a mechanical structure on which at least one module may be mounted, a submersible UUV, and a coupling device configured to physically couple between the kite sub-system and the submersible UUV.
COMMAND AND CONTROL DEVICE FOR SAILS OF SAILBOATS OR KITE SAILS
A command and control bar for a kite sail associated with two front cables connected to a user and two rear cables connected to the bar. The cables are connected at one end to the sail. An adjustment element to shorten/extend the rear cables is incorporated into the bar and can be controlled by the user without releasing the bar. A deflection system can be displaced parallel to the axis of the bar and is connected to a return element. The bar includes a locking element to lock/release the position of the deflection system along the bar, depending on the traction forces applied on the cables. The locking element is accessible to the user from outside the bar.
Device for generating power, comprising an air-towed vessel towing at least one water current turbine
A device for producing energy includes an air-towed vessel, and at least one water current turbine linked to the vessel by at least one electric cable. The water current turbine is linked to the vessel by at least one mechanical linking cable to be towed by the vessel. The water current turbine is spaced apart from the vessel, which makes it possible to increase the diameter of the turbine and to reduce the interactions between the turbine and the vessel. Moreover, it is then possible to provide a plurality of water current turbines towed by the same vessel.
