The invention relates to a marine meachanical seal arrangement comprising a first mechanical seal (2) comprising a first rotating slide ring (21) and a second stationary slide ring (22) defining a first sealing gap (23) between their two sliding surfaces (21a, 22a), a second meachanical seal (3) comprising a second rotating slide ring (31) and a second stationary slide ring (32), which define a second sealing gap (33) between their sliding surfaces (31a, 32a), a barrier circuit (10) comprising a barrier fluid cavity (8) which is arranged between the first mechanical seal (2) and the second mechanical seal (3) and is filled with a barrier fluid, the barrier fluid cavity (8) being divided into a first sub-cavity (81) and a second sub-cavity (82), the first subcavity (81) and the second subcavity (82) being separated by a flexible lip seal (7) wherein the second sub-cavity (82) is arranged at the second mechanical seal (3), and wherein the lip seal (7) is arranged such that a flow of barrier fluid from the first subcavity (81) into the second subcavity (82) is allowed and a flow of barrier fluid from the second subcavity to the first subcavity is prevented. Radial Sealing System

The invention relates to a sealing assembly for the limitation of fluid flow along a rotatable shaft that is passed through a housing member that separates a high pressure side and a low pressure side, wherein the sealing assembly comprises: a rotor with a sealing surface which essentially extends radially in relation to the shaft, a flushing sealing system that extends between the rotor and the housing member, which sealing system is in contact with both the housing member and the sealing surface of the rotor to effect a sealing effect, wherein the flushing sealing system comprises an elastic sealing member that in use imposes a targeted compression force on the sealing surface.

Integrated Propulsion and Steering System

An electrically driven propulsion system for a watercraft comprises an electric motor, a pulse inverter, a thrust bearing, and a transmission is presented. The pulse inverter can be electrically coupled to the electric motor and adapted to provide an electrical supply power of at least 50 kW to the electric motor. The electrically driven propulsion system further comprises a common waterproof housing. An external section of the transmission can be arranged outside of the common waterproof housing. The transmission can be adapted to rotationally couple the external section of the transmission to the electric motor. The thrust bearing can be mechanically coupled to the rotary shaft of said transmission and to the common waterproof housing. The thrust bearing can be adapted to transfer a force applied to the transmission along an axial direction of said rotary shaft of the transmission to the common waterproof housing.

The method includes closing the air return line upstream of the intermediate leakage tank, and supplying compressed air to the intermediate leakage tank to effect flowing of liquid present in the intermediate leakage tank to a leakage tank.

The emergency seal comprises a radially inner surface 22 suitable for resting on the radially outer surface 52 of a drive shaft 50 and a radially outer surface 24 suitable for being subjected to the action of a pressure fluid. The emergency seal also has a constant cross section along its own circumferential development. The cross section comprises a main solid portion 26 from which two appendices 28 depart, which have a mainly outward radial development. The radially inner surface comprises at least two sealing prominences 32, and the emergency seal is made of an elastomeric material. The invention also relates to a seal assembly 200 and a sealing package 220 comprising the emergency seal.
