Adaptable modular power system (AMPS) and dedicated connector; modular payload boxes and autonomous water vehicle configured to accept same
An adaptable modular power system (AMPS) is hierarchical in a number of ways. AMPS modules connect to a backplane, and one or multiple AMPS backplanes can form an AMPS domain. At the same time, the vehicle electronics is modular, with various payload boxes needing to communicate with each other. A common power and signaling cable is provided to interconnect payload boxes. A dedicated connector system is also provided so that AMPS modules may communicate, control, receive data, and supply and receive power.

A system for collection of rainwater in the open ocean may include: (a) one or more ocean-going vessels, wherein each ocean-going vessel is configured for collection and storage of rainwater, wherein each ocean-going vessel is configured to drift with surface ocean currents in order to navigate to one or more delivery locations, wherein each delivery location is on or near to a land mass; and (b) one or more delivery stations located at the one or more delivery locations, wherein each delivery station is configured to receive stored rainwater from one or more of the ocean-going vessels.

This disclosure provides improved nautical craft that can travel and navigate on their own. A hybrid vessel is described that converts wave motion to locomotive thrust by mechanical means, and also converts wave motion to electrical power for storage in a battery. The electrical power can then be tapped to provide locomotive power during periods where wave motion is inadequate and during deployment. The electrical power can also be tapped to even out the undulating thrust that is created when locomotion of the vessel is powered by wave motion alone.

ENHANCED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOTELY DEPLOYING BOAT FENDERS
An enhanced system and various methods for remotely deploying boat fenders from a safe and convenient location. The boat fenders, which are placed along the entire periphery of the boat, may be deployed and retracted with lines attached to winches and motors. A smart phone app may be employed to remind users to deploy boat fenders upon entering known ports, and may also deploy the boat fenders automatically.

Marine fuel cell-based integrated heat, electricity, and cooling supply system
Disclosed is a marine fuel cell-based integrated heat, electricity, and cooling supply system comprising a power supply system and a waste heat recovery system; the power supply system comprises wind turbine generator sets, solar generator sets, and a fuel cell power module; the waste heat recovery system encompasses a turbine power generation module and a lithium bromide refrigeration module; the fuel cell power module is connected to both the turbine power generation module and the lithium bromide refrigeration module; the turbine power generation module is used to generate electricity using waste heat. This approach fully exploits the waste heat from the exhaust gas generated by the fuel cell power module, resulting in a high overall energy utilization rate. The self-consumption electricity and pure hydrogen fuel for the integrated energy supply system can be obtained from solar and wind energy, ensuring low carbon emissions for the entire system.
