Embodiments of the present invention provide a water management system for use on board a passenger transport vehicle. The water management system may be used to address and manage excess humidity, water leaks, or any other instance when water or other liquid may collect at a certain location. The disclosure provides a system for managing excess water and for optionally delivering the water to another location. The removal location may be a disposal outlet or it may be a beneficial use of the collected water on-board the vehicle.

AIRCRAFT BAY BLANKETS THAT PROVIDE ENHANCED DRAINAGE FEATURES
Systems and methods are provided for insulation and moisture drainage. One exemplary embodiment is a bay blanket configured to insulate an aircraft. The bay blanket includes insulation, and a first trough running along a length of a leftward face of the insulation and adapted to receive water draining from an outboard side of the insulation. The first trough includes sidewalls that meet at an inboard side of the insulation and extend from the inboard side to the outboard side. The bay blanket also includes a second trough running along a length of a rightward face of the insulation and adapted to receive water draining from the outboard side. The second trough includes sidewalls that meet at the inboard side and extend from the inboard side to the outboard side.

AIRCRAFT BAY BLANKETS THAT PROVIDE ENHANCED DRAINAGE FEATURES
Systems and methods are provided for insulation and moisture drainage. One exemplary embodiment is an apparatus comprising a bay blanket configured to insulate an aircraft. The bay blanket includes insulation, and a first waterproof lip that protrudes from the insulation in an outboard direction towards a frame of the aircraft and extends along a length of a leftward side of the bay blanket. The bay blanket also includes a second waterproof lip that protrudes from the insulation in an outboard direction towards the frame of the aircraft along a length of a rightward side of the bay blanket.
ENHANCED WATER CAPTURE SYSTEMS FOR AIRCRAFT INTERIORS
Systems and methods are provided for enhanced water capture systems for aircraft interiors. One embodiment is a strip that is formed from a water-absorbent material for retaining moisture. The strip is adhered to an interior surface of an aircraft at a location proximate to an entry point for water into a cabin of the aircraft, and the strip comprises holes within the water-absorbent material that are staggered with respect to each other.
System for preventing water condensation inside aircraft
A system and method for preventing condensation in a crown area of an aircraft may include routing dry gas into a crown area of the aircraft between the cabin interior panels and the aircraft skin.
MOISTURE ACCUMULATION PREVENTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An aircraft may include a fuselage, and a moisture accumulation prevention system that prevents moisture from accumulating on at least one structure within the fuselage. The moisture accumulation prevention system includes at least one ultrasonic element coupled to the structure(s). The ultrasonic element(s) operates at a frequency that prevents moisture particles from adhering to a surface of the structure(s).
FRAME INSULATION PROVIDING ENHANCED DRAINAGE FEATURES
Systems and methods are provided for insulation and moisture drainage. One exemplary system comprises a liner. The liner covers a frame element of an aircraft. The liner includes a first waterproof lip that is attached to a first insulator and protrudes towards the frame element. The first waterproof lip and the first insulator form a first drainage channel for the frame element. A second waterproof lip is attached to a second insulator and protrudes towards the frame element. The second waterproof lip and the second insulator form a second drainage channel for the frame element. The first waterproof lip and the second waterproof lip each include a lengthwise fixation element that attaches the first waterproof lip to the second waterproof lip, sealing at least a portion of the lengthwise gap.
