Emergency exit system

An emergency exit system comprising a first primary structure frame, a second primary structure frame extending substantially parallel to the first primary structure frame, a door opening arranged between the first primary structure frame and the second primary structure frame, and a door shiftable substantially parallel to the first primary structure frame and the second primary structure frame between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the door closes the door opening. In the open position, the door opens up the door opening. At least one of the primary structure frames comprises a primary structure guide element for guiding the door when the door is shifted between the closed position and the open position.

A door arrangement for an aircraft segment, which door arrangement comprises a passenger door, a fuselage portion accommodating the passenger door, and a girt bar for arming and disarming an emergency slide. The passenger door is movable relative to the fuselage portion between a raised position and a lowered position. The girt bar is connectable by means of a connecting arrangement to the passenger door and/or to the fuselage portion. The connecting arrangement comprises a mechanism which is configured to, during arming of the emergency slide, actuate a locking mechanism of an engagement device fastened to the fuselage portion, such that the girt bar is fixed in a decouplable manner to the engagement device.

An aircraft cabin section includes a door frame, which forms a door opening, a passenger door, which is arranged on the door frame and is configured to close the door opening, and a door insulation arrangement, which is larger in at least one direction than the door opening. The door insulation arrangement is produced from a textile which is heat-insulating and/or airflow-inhibiting. Furthermore, a corresponding door insulation arrangement and an aircraft having such an aircraft cabin section or such a door insulation arrangement are disclosed.

AIRCARFT DOOR COMPRISING AN ENGAGING MECHANISM PROVIDING ENGAGEMENT BETWEEN AN EXTERNAL OPENING/CLOSING LEVER AND AN INTERNAL OPENING/CLOSING LEVER

An aircraft door including an external opening/closing lever (7) and an internal opening/closing lever (9) which are coupled by an engaging mechanism (12) which includes: a stop (24) which entrains a counter-stop (23) when the internal opening/closing lever (9) is in its closed position and the external opening/closing lever (7) is pivoted from its closed position to its open position; a lug (22) that rotates as one with the internal opening/closing lever; an engaging pawl (15) which is spaced apart from the path of the lug (22) in a passive position, and disposed on the path of the lug (22) in an active position; a support base (16) designed to push the engaging pawl (15) back into its passive position when the external opening/closing lever (7) is in its closed position.

Airplane passenger door rapid emergency egress system
11479337 · 2022-10-25 ·

A passenger door rapid emergency egress (PDREE) system that can be used on airplanes, such as the Cessna 206, allows the forward cargo door to be safely jettisoned allowing unrestricted egress for occupants in the rear of the aircraft. Unlike the manufacturer's design, the (PDREE) system is designed to work when the landing flaps are down. Extended flaps interfere with the exit door. Mechanical levers in the PDREE system are designed to function even if used improperly. The PDREE system opens and allows the passenger door to be jettisoned when the door is closed, or closed and locked, and binding loads are placed on the hinges. This is accomplished through the use of robust, non-corrosive, stainless steel mechanical levers and pins. A separate, red emergency handle safely stowed to prevent accidental activation, is easily accessible in the back of the aircraft.

Aircraft door handle assembly
11603684 · 2023-03-14 · ·

A handle assembly for an aircraft door includes a shaft to open the door, an exterior handle deployable between a stowed position and a deployed position, and a clutch having a driving member coupled to the exterior handle and a driven member coupled to the shaft. The clutch is configurable between a disengaged configuration in which the driving member and the driven member are disengaged, and an engaged configuration in which the driving member and the driven member are engaged so that actuation of the exterior handle rotates the shaft to open the door. Rotation of the exterior handle between the stowed position and the deployed position drives an axial movement of the driving member toward the driven member to configure the clutch to the engaged configuration.

AIRCRAFT DOOR PROVIDED WITH A LEVER FOR EMERGENCY OPENING FROM OUTSIDE

The invention concerns an aircraft door having a lever (3) for emergency opening from outside, disposed in a lever window. The lever (3) for emergency opening from outside includes: a main arm (7) having a first aerodynamic surface (9); a profiled cowling (8) with a second aerodynamic surface (10); a driving stop (18) capable of rotating the profiled cowling (8) from its concealing position to its separated position when the main arm (7) passes from its retracted position to its deployed position.

Versatile door systems for vehicles

A versatile door system for a vehicle having a frame with an opening. The door system includes a door assembly including a hingeable door and a slidable door. The hingeable door is hingeably coupled to the frame proximate the opening. The slidable door is slidably coupled to the hingeable door. A rail system includes a segmented upper rail having a first portion coupled to the frame and a second portion formed on an exterior side of the hingeable door. The slidable door includes a slider bearing configured to sequentially engage the first and second portions of the segmented upper rail along a path of travel of the slidable door. In a closed configuration, the hingeable door and the slidable door are securably disposed within the opening. The hingeable door and the slidable door are configured to collectively provide access to selectable portions of the opening.
