AIRSTAIR SYSTEM WITH DEPLOYABLE UPPER STEP
Airstair systems and associated methods are disclosed. In one embodiment, the airstair comprises a deployable upper step, a primary deployment device and a secondary deployment device. The upper step is movable between a stowed configuration when a door of the aircraft is closed and a deployed configuration when the door is open. The primary deployment device resiliently biases the upper step toward the deployed configuration. The secondary deployment device is movable in coordination with a movement of the door and configured to drive the deployable upper step toward the deployed configuration during opening of the door and during a failure of the primary deployment device.
Passenger door with deployable lower step
A mobile platform with a passenger door system having stairs with one or more deployable lower steps and associated methods for deployment and/or stowing of such lower steps are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method comprises using movement of the door to drive a movement of a handrail associated with the stairs, and using the movement of the handrail to drive a movement of the one or more lower steps.
Aircraft having versatile door systems
A versatile door system for an aircraft includes forward and aft door assemblies. The forward door assembly includes a forward hingeable door hingeably coupled to the airframe proximate a forward location of an aircraft opening and a forward slidable door slidably coupled to the forward hingeable door. The aft door assembly includes an aft hingeable door hingeably coupled to the airframe proximate an aft location of the aircraft opening and an aft slidable door slidably coupled to the aft hingeable door. In a closed configuration, the forward hingeable door, the forward slidable door, the aft hingeable door and the aft slidable door are securably disposed within the aircraft opening. In operation, the forward hingeable door, the forward slidable door, the aft hingeable door and the aft slidable door are individually operable to collectively provide access to a selectable width of the aircraft opening.
EMERGENCY OPENING DEVICE FOR AN AIRCRAFT DOOR, COMPRISING A RETAINING MEMBER WITH A HOOK
An emergency opening device for an aircraft door provided with an opening mechanism includes an actuation device (2, 5) for actuating the opening mechanism, having: a tubular operating member (2) equipped with a second locking end (4) that includes a radial retaining finger (19); flexible compression device (5); a retaining member (9) for the second locking end (4), the retaining member (9) including a hook (28) which has a stop surface, the retaining member (9) being rotatable about the movement axis of the operating member (2); activation device (31) for the actuation device (2, 5), adapted to cause the retaining member (9) to open.
DEVICE FOR OPENING AN AIRCRAFT DOOR IN EMERGENCIES, SAID DEVICE HAVING A LEVER-TYPE RETENTION MEMBER
Device for opening an aircraft door in emergencies, said door being provided with an opening mechanism, including a device (2, 5) for actuating the opening mechanism, having: a tubular maneuvering member (2), and a second locking end (4) which has a stop surface (43); resilient compression device (5); a member for holding the second locking end (4), the holding member including a rotary lock (9) and a lever (44) which is suitable for cooperating with the stop surface (43), the rotary lock (9) being rotatable about the displacement axis of the maneuvering member (2); device (31) for activating the actuation device (2, 5) which are suitable for driving the rotary lock (9).
EMERGENCY OPENING DEVICE FOR AN AIRCRAFT DOOR, WITH HANDLE RELEASE
An emergency opening device (1) for an aircraft door having: a tubular operating member (2); elastic compression device (3). The operating member (2) has a first end element (10) and a second end element (11) that can move in translation with respect to one another. The first end element (10) includes a removable driving stop (20).
EMERGENCY OPENING DEVICE FOR AN AIRCRAFT DOOR, WITH ROTARY RELEASE
An emergency opening device (1) for an aircraft door having: a tubular operating member (2); elastic compression device (3). The operating member (2) includes a first end element (10) and a second end element (11) that can move in translation with respect to one another. The first end element (10) having a cylindrical retractable rotary stop (20), that can move between a first angular position of transmission and a second angular position of release.
AIRCRAFT BENCH SEAT ASSEMBLY
A bench seat assembly that includes a first seat that includes a seat portion and a back, a second seat that includes a seat portion and a back, and a center portion positioned between the first and second seats. The first seat is bifurcated by a first vertical plane, the second seat is bifurcated by a second vertical plane, and the center portion is bifurcated by a center vertical plane. The first seat is angled outwardly such that the first plane defines a first acute angle with the center plane and the second seat is angled outwardly such that the second plane defines a second acute angle with the center plane. The first acute angle and the second acute angle are approximately the same.
