Systems and methods providing airflow within a vehicle
Systems and methods provide airflow to a first area from a second area within a vehicle. The system includes a fan mounted within a door separating the first area from the second area. The fan is configured to direct airflow from the second area into the first area. The fan having a shield positioned adjacent to the second area that is configured to conceal the fan.
Adjustable door seal
A door panel is included in a nacelle assembly for use with a gas turbine engine to block and allow access selectively to the gas turbine engine. The nacelle assembly includes a nacelle wall, a sleeve, and the door panel. The nacelle wall is arranged at least partway around the gas turbine engine and formed to define an opening that extends through the nacelle wall. The door panel is located in the opening and movable relative to the nacelle wall. The sleeve is coupled with one of the nacelle wall and the door panel and configured to move relative to the nacelle wall or the door panel toward and away from the other of the nacelle wall and door panel to adjust a size of a gap between the door panel and the nacelle wall.
LIGHTWEIGHT STRUCTURE REMOVABLE ENERGY-ABSORBING BARRIER AND AIRCRAFT INCLUDING AT LEAST ONE SUCH REMOVABLE BARRIER
A removable barrier and an aircraft including such a removable barrier. The barrier including a panel configured to block at least partly an opening delimited by a frame, a plurality of straps each connected to the panel and each having first and second ends, for each strap, a first connection configured to connect the first end of the strap and a first edge of the frame at least temporarily, a second connection configured to connect the second end of the strap and a second edge of the frame at least temporarily, at least one folded overlength at the level of at least one of the first and second ends of the strap, at least one breakable connection keeping the overlength folded.
DEVICE FOR RELEASING AN AIRCRAFT PANEL AND ASSOCIATED AIRCRAFT
A device for releasing a panel of an aircraft, the device being configured to be secured to a support, the support having an opening and the device being attached to cover a periphery of the opening, the device comprising a panel configured to be arranged at least opposite the opening. Such a device comprises: at least two ejector members, each of the at least two ejector members comprising at least one link; and at least one control member for applying a pulling force to the at least one link.
Door assembly with double-acting hinge
A hinge is coupled to a first component and a second component. The hinge supports the second component for movement relative to the first component between a closed position covering an opening through the first component and an opened position displaced from the opening.
Aircraft security door and method and apparatus for security door handling
The present disclosure provides an aircraft security door as well as methods, systems and apparatus for handling an aircraft security door. In one implementation, a method for installing an aircraft security door onto an aircraft is disclosed. The method includes transferring the aircraft security door to an aircraft service stair, supporting the aircraft security door by a bridge crane coupled to the aircraft service stair, positioning the aircraft service stair in proximity to a fuselage of the aircraft adjacent to an opening in the fuselage, positioning the aircraft security door relative to the opening using the bridge crane, and securing the aircraft security door to the opening.
MODULAR DEPLOYABLE EXTERNAL PASSENGER SYSTEM FOR AIRCRAFT
An embodiment is a system including an external passenger seating unit comprising at least one seat; and a translation mechanism for translating the external passenger seating unit between a first position in which the external passenger seating unit is stowed in a payload bay of an aircraft and a second position in which the external passenger seating unit is deployed external to the aircraft for accommodating at least one passenger.
INTERCHANGEABLE DOOR SILL PROTECTION SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED INSTALLATION METHOD
A system for protection of at least one aircraft door sill, including a rigid panel having shape and dimensions configured to cover and to protect the sill at least partially having an attachment face oriented toward the sill of the aircraft and configured to come to rest on the latter and a step face oriented in the direction away from the attachment face. The panel includes, on one transverse side, at least one cavity forming a housing and, on the other side, an arrangement for removably fixing to the sill. The protection system equally includes at least one bar having a shape at least partially complementary to the cavity to assure the nesting thereof. In this way the panel protects the sill and can easily be replaced: the sill is provided with a rapidly interchangeable protection system.
Aircraft plug door with in-plane load transfer capacity and methods of use
A plug door assembly for a pressurized aircraft is provided. The door assembly includes a surround and a door, and connector assemblies along the edges that act to transfer in-plane stresses directly across the fuselage opening via the door, as well as stops that react radial loads generated by cabin pressure. The door assembly obviates the need for a separate frame to transmit stresses around the perimeter of the fuselage opening.
AIRCRAFT PRESSURISED CABIN DOOR WITH INTERNAL FORCE- ABSORBING FRAME
An aircraft pressurized cabin door (1) having a fuselage panel (2) and a door structure (3) that includes: two circumferential beams (4) arranged on the lateral edges of the door (1); a plurality of longitudinal beams (5). Each longitudinal beam (5) is an open profile having an outer face to which the fuselage panel (2) is fixed and an inner face, the door structure (3) further including an internal force-absorbing frame (12) fixed to the inner face of each longitudinal beam (5), this internal force-absorbing frame (12) having a plurality of uprights (13) each extending opposite a circumferential beam (4), each upright (13) being fixed to several longitudinal beams (5).
