MULTILAYER ARTIFICIAL HONEYCOMB
20170280691 · 2017-10-05 ·

A multilayer artificial honeycomb is disclosed, which comprises an operation module, a honeycomb module and a honey-storing module which are arranged from top to down; wherein the honeycomb module is connected to and driven by the operation module; the honeycomb module communicates with the honey-storing module; the honeycomb module includes a lattice assembly, beeswax and propolis; the lattice assembly is moved by an external force applied to the operation module, in such a way that honey inside the multilayer artificial honeycomb flows downwardly into the honey-storing module. The multilayer artificial honeycomb of the present application can be used for a long period of time, omitting the steps in the traditional honey gathering processes, reducing cost, simplifying the process, and meanwhile avoiding disturbance to normal activities of bees; therefore, beekeeping can be widespread, and the global ecological balance can be maintained.

CONTROL AND MONITORING SYSTEM FOR PESTICIDE AND HARMFUL BEE DRUGS IN BEE HIVES
20220304284 · 2022-09-29 ·

A hive monitoring system that determines any change in chemicals (pesticide, antibiotics, bee medicines) in the hive, measures environmental and informs the control authorities so as to provide a fully monitored and controlled production from hive to spoon. There is a chemical substance sensor in the system that measures odors at levels that cannot be detected by the human nose, and records the chemical substance data with a time stamp. The measurement data is compared by a chip with the harmful bee pesticides and limit values that should be in the hives, and information is sent to the processor unit if the limit values obtained as a result of machine learning are exceeded. The users can receive the warning/informative notifications instantly via access devices over a server that receives and stores the data sent from the processor unit and can follow the conditions of the hive when desired.

A beehive system includes a main hive body with opposed, insulated side walls having access ports formed respectively therein. A vent assembly fits into an access port, and includes a valve case with an outer housing, a coaxial core portion, and plural opposed panels between the outer housing and the core portion, with openings formed between the panels. A pivotally movable valve member includes a core portion and two or more blades attached to and extending outwardly from the core portion. The valve member cooperates with the valve case to regulate air flow through the vent assembly. A bimetallic coil interconnects the valve case and the valve member, and a perforated screen cover is attached to the valve case to allow air flow therethrough. A kit of components usable to retrofit an existing hive, and a method of retrofitting an existing beehive to add a vent thereto, are also disclosed.

BEE SHELTER
20220304283 · 2022-09-29 ·

A bee shelter has a base and a collapsible structure. The base has a bottom surface that engages a ground surface and defines a substantially impermeable barrier above the ground surface. The collapsible structure is positioned on the base and has sidewall panels, a roof panel, and living hinges that connect the sidewall panels and the roof panel. The collapsible structure is foldable between a collapsed state and an erected state. In the collapsed state the sidewall panels and the roof panel are in a stack, and in an erected state the sidewall panels and the roof panel define an inner cavity that has an opening defined by the sidewall panels and the roof panel. The inner cavity is sheltered by the roof panel. Each of the base, the side walls, and the roof panel are water impermeable.
