SEAT ASSEMBLY FOR AIRCRAFT
A seat assembly for an aircraft cabin, wherein the seat assembly includes, in a same row a first seat, and a second seat, and a storage compartment disposed in an adjacent manner between the first and second seats. The storage compartment is sized to accommodate luggage of a passenger in either or both of the first and second seats.
Seat arrangement of a passenger cabin
A seat arrangement of a passenger cabin includes at least two seat groups. The at least two seat groups are arranged consecutively between two passenger aisles running parallel to a longitudinal direction of the passenger cabin and each have two outer seat units and just one central seat unit. The seat units are set in a seating configuration. A central seat unit of at least one of the at least two seat groups is arranged offset with respect to at least one of the outer seat units of the same seat group in the longitudinal direction of the passenger cabin, as a result of which each seat unit has obstacle-free access to at least one cabin aisle.
LOCKING AIRCRAFT STORAGE COMPARTMENT AND BED PLATFORM
The present application relates to providing an aircraft storage container including a lower portion having a horizontal bottom and a plurality of vertical sides configured to form a storage volume, an upper portion rotationally coupled to one of the plurality of vertical sides, a gas piston having a locking mechanism wherein the gas piston is coupled between the lower portion and the upper portion, the gas piston being configured to support the upper portion when the locking mechanism is engaged, a rotational member operative to disengage the locking mechanism when rotated and to engage the locking mechanism when released, and a latch mechanism having a rotational lever, wherein the latch mechanism is operative to rotate the rotational member in response to a pressure on the rotational lever.
SEAT ASSEMBLY AND PASSENGER SEAT ARRANGEMENT
A seat assembly includes a base structure having at least one of a seat pan shell and a backrest shell, and one or more attachment structures configured to removably couple at least one of the seat pan shell and the backrest shell to a seat surface arrangement or a utility surface arrangement. The base structure is convertible between a passenger seat and a utility element based on the coupling of the seat surface arrangement or the utility surface arrangement, respectively, to the base structure.
AIRCRAFT DISINFECTION SYSTEM FOR STOWABLE ITEMS
Devices, systems, methods, and articles of manufacture for delivering disinfecting electromagnetic radiation to various areas, items, and components of a cabin of an aircraft are provided herein. For example, the disclosed disinfecting system may be configured to emit electromagnetic radiation to disinfect a stowable item, such as a personal item of a passenger or a component of the aircraft cabin. Generally, the devices, systems, methods, and articles of manufacture disclosed and described herein facilitate disinfection treatments, especially to items and/or components that would not be subjected to conventional aircraft cleaning treatments.
PASSENGER SEATING ARRANGEMENT
A passenger seating arrangement in an aircraft cabin, the passenger seating arrangement comprising exactly two rows of seat units and exactly one aisle, wherein a first row of seat units and a second row of seat units are separated by the aisle, and wherein the rows of seat units and the aisle all extend in a longitudinal direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the aircraft cabin, each seat unit comprising a seat, an upper shell and a lower shell, the lower shell forming a footwell, wherein the seats are arranged in parallel to each other in a seating direction, wherein an upper shell of a first seat unit and a lower shell of a second seat unit, which, viewed in the longitudinal direction, is arranged behind the first seat unit, partially overlap in a vertical direction.
CONSOLE FOR A SEAT UNIT PROVIDED WITH A SUPPORT ARM FOR A PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
The present invention relates to a console for a seat unit comprising: an upper wall forming a table surface on which a passenger can place objects, a cavity, an articulated arm fixed to an internal face of the cavity, said articulated arm comprising a holding device for a portable electronic device provided with a screen, said articulated arm being movable between a stored position, in which the articulated arm is located inside the cavity, and a extended position in which the articulated arm is at least in part outside the cavity.
BI-FOLD COMPARTMENT DOOR WITH SPRING ASSIST AND CAM LATCH
Disclosed is a door assembly for enclosing a compartment, for instance a cabin attendant seat (CAS) compartment. The assembly generally includes spaced guides for guiding opening and closing movement of a bi-fold door including coupled upper and lower door sections. The door sections are coupled through an interface that allows vertical displacement of the lower door section relative to the upper door section when the door assembly is in the closed condition to engage or disengage latches from respective catches. In some embodiments, the assembly further includes cam latches and a biasing mechanism for driving bi-fold door movement toward the open condition, among other features.
ADDITIVE MANUFACTURED AIRCRAFT SEAT COMPONENTS
A passenger includes at least one seat component including a first material and at least one additive manufactured component including a second material, the at least one additive manufactured component including a plurality of zones. The at least one additive manufactured component is attached to the at least one seat component. The at least one additive manufactured component includes a lattice structure. Each of the plurality of zones have different physical properties.
LIGHTED CUP HOLDER FOR SEATING ARRANGEMENTS
A method and apparatus include attaching a lighted cup holder to a seating arrangement. The lighted cup holder includes a cup holder body and a light-producing light source, with the cup holder body being attached to the seating arrangement and having a cup receptacle therein, the light-producing source being disposed within the cup receptacle for illuminating the receptacle. A light-sensitive element operatively connected to the light source selectively controls production of light by the light source in such a manner that illumination of the cup holder is provided only under conditions where visibility is reduced to the point that it becomes difficult to locate the cup holder. The light-sensitive element is mounted on a master lighted cup holder and controls illumination of the master lighted cup holder and one or more slave lighted cup holders operatively connected to the master lighted cup holder.
