Deployable infill assembly and passenger seat construction
A deployable infill assembly and passenger seat construction. The infill assembly includes a cushion element deployable laterally along a low trajectory from a stowed position to a deployed position. The cushion assembly is coupled to a frame carrying guide tracks for guiding movement of the cushion assembly between the stowed and deployed positions. The cushion assembly is selectively deployable for use as a leg support, table or to complete a continuous bed. The infill assembly is packaged in a compact footprint well-suited for aircraft applications.
PASSENGER SEATING FOOT PEDESTAL
The present disclosure relates to foot pedestals for passenger vehicles. More specifically, the present disclosure describes a deployable foot pedestal that provides support and comfort to a passenger. The foot pedestal includes an internal torsion spring so that it remains stowed and flush with the rear of the seat back when not in use. It can be deployed for use by the passenger using their foot, or hand.
Methods of assigning seats to utilize transformable seat assemblies
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media storing instructions for utilizing space associated with unoccupied seats in organized seating arrangements are disclosed herein. The disclosed techniques identify unoccupied seats within an organized seating arrangement, such as seats on an aircraft. Upgradable seats within the organized seating arrangement are determined based upon the unoccupied seats and the transformation capabilities of the seats. Upgradable seats are directly in front of or behind unoccupied seats, such that either the upgradable seat or the associated unoccupied seat is transformable to enable an upgrade. An occupant of a seat is selected for an upgrade associated with an upgradable seat and assigned the upgrade to enable the occupant to utilize a portion of the space associated with the unoccupied seat while sitting in the upgradable seat.
Occupant supports and virtual visualization and navigation
Apparatus and method for using light fields for virtual visualization and virtual navigation.
Transformable seat assembly
A transformable seat assembly which includes a seat support structure and a seat connected to the seat support structure with a hinge. The hinge defines an axis of rotation. A back support structure connected to the seat support structure, which extends in an upward direction relative to the seat support structure. A back cushion is secured to the back support structure and a lumbar cushion extends along the back support structure positioned between the back cushion and the seat, wherein the lumbar cushion is releasably secured to one of the back cushion or the back support structure and an end portion of the seat positioned closer to the back support structure with the seat positioned in an occupant support position than the hinge, can rotate in a direction of rotation about the axis of rotation, which includes the upward direction and a direction away from the back support structure.
Apparatus for assistance in putting on and removing footwear
Apparatus to facilitate putting on and removing footwear. The apparatus may be swivelably coupled to a chair where handles are provided to rotate an arm which is coupled to a footrest. By moving the arm, which is at seat level, the footrest is movable between a stowed position and an operative, forward position.
Aircraft cabin arrangement optimised for the installation of seats for the flight crew
An aircraft cabin arrangement includes at least one cabin attendant seat, called a high-comfort seat, which can assume a stowed position, a sitting position and at least one rest position, and at least one furniture unit. The high-comfort seat is installed in a space provided in the furniture unit, or can extend at least partially into a space arranged in the furniture unit when said high-comfort seat is in the rest position.
Transformable seat assembly
A transformable seat assembly includes a seat support structure and a back support structure connected to the seat support structure with a hinge defining an axis of rotation. An actuator assembly includes a cylinder and a piston positioned within the cylinder, wherein the cylinder is secured to one of the back support structure or the seat support structure and the piston is secured to other of the one of the back support structure or the seat support structure. Additionally a blocking member is positioned within and adjustable along the cylinder. With blocking member in a first position, piston is limited to travel to a first limit position and the back support structure to a first reclined position. With the blocking member in a second position, piston is limited to travel to a second limit position and back support structure is permitted to rotate to second reclined position.
LEG EXTENSION CONTROL DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR VEHICLE SEATING
A safety system includes a safety response device positioned proximal to an aircraft seat. The safety response device is operable to deploy thereby controlling the leg extension condition of legs of an occupant of the aircraft seat. A triggering system is operable to activate the safety response device when a deceleration is detected. The safety response device can be operable to maintain the legs of a seated occupant in an un-extended condition thereby protecting the legs from extending when a rapid deceleration occurs. The safety response device can be operable to transition the legs of a seated occupant from an un-extended condition to an extended condition at a predetermined rate. The safety response device can be, for example, and airbag or a kick plate. The device may automatically return to a stowed condition a predetermined time after deployment to permit egress from the seat and aircraft.
AIRCRAFT WITH CREW QUARTERS
An aircraft is disclosed with a fuselage including a cabin delimited by a cabin floor and having crew quarters. The crew quarters include an upper portion above a floor plane defined by the cabin floor and a lower portion beneath the floor plane. The crew quarters include a seat adjustable between a sitting configuration and a berthing configuration. A method of transitioning a crew member of an aircraft to a berthing configuration in a crew quarters is also disclosed.
