Adjustable armrest assembly
An adjustable armrest assembly provides for quick and easy height and tilt adjustments to the armrest. Generally, the armrest assembly disclosed herein includes a base, an armrest, and one or more shafts extending from the base and being pivotably coupled to the armrest. By moving the one or more shafts relative to the base, the height and/or tilt of the armrest relative to the base can be adjusted.
Aircraft armrest rail roller linkage apparatus
An aircraft armrest may incorporate a rail roller linkage. The roller linkage may include an armrest plate, a rail attached to an aircraft seat assembly, a top roller link, and a bottom roller link. The top roller link may have a threaded upper adjustment cylinder, a pivot joint, and a pair of grooved rollers diagonally disposed on either side of the pivot. The bottom roller link may have an unthreaded lower adjustment cylinder, a pivot joint, and a pair of grooved rollers diagonally disposed on either side of the pivot. The grooved rollers may mesh with the rail. The roller linkage may include a roller adjustment screw, having a threaded portion, and extending through both of the adjustment cylinders. A compression spring may bias the roller link around the rail and may be disposed between the top roller link and the bottom roller link and surrounding the roller adjustment screw.
Extendable armrest with automatic retraction features
An aircraft seat system is disclosed, in accordance with one or more embodiments of the present disclosure. In one embodiment, the aircraft seat system includes a seat casement; a headrest portion; a seat back portion; a seat pan; and one or more armrests pivotably coupled to one or more portions of the seat casement. In another embodiment, the one or more armrests include an armrest body; a rotator link system; and a pivot link system. In another embodiment, the pivot link system may be configured to pivotably extend the armrest cap and pivotably retract the armrest cap.
RECONFIGURABLE SEAT ASSEMBLY
A seat assembly for an internal cabin of a vehicle includes a seat cushion, and a backrest pivotally coupled to the seat cushion. The backrest is moveable between a first position and a second position. The first position is configured to allow a passenger to sit on the seat cushion. The second position is configured to allow one or more cargo items to be secured on a rear surface of the backrest.
Seating apparatus
An aircraft seat including: a seat chassis; a seat assembly including a seat pan and a seat back; the seat pan being mounted to the seat chassis by a first pivoting connection defining a seat pan pivot axis about which the seat pan pivots, the first pivoting connection being configured such that the seat pan can pivot about the seat pan pivot axis without undergoing a related translational movement; the second pivoting connection defining a seat back pivot axis about which the seat back pivots; at least one seat pan link for controlling pivoting of the seat pan about said seat pan pivot axis; wherein the at least one seat pan link is coupled to the seat pan in front of the seat pan pivot axis; and at least one recline link connected to the seat back and the at least one seat pan link.
Armrest structure and aircraft seat assebly thereof
An armrest structure and an aircraft seat assembly thereof are disclosed. The armrest structure includes an armrest body and two support plates. The armrest body is disposed between two aircraft seats. The shape of the support plates correspond to the armrest body and the support plates are disposed at two sides of the armrest body respectively. Each of the support plates has a first position and a second position. The support plates combine with the armrest body to form an armrest when the support plates are at the first position. The support plates and the armrest body are vertical to each other so that a hand of the passenger can rest on the support plates when the support plates are in the second position.
Low-profile armrest articulation mechanism for aircraft passenger seat
A low profile armrest articulation mechanism for a passenger seat is disclosed. The passenger seat has a seatback reclinable from an upright configuration to a berthed or horizontal configuration (e.g., parallel to the seatpan). The mechanism includes moving stops connecting the armrests on either side to the seatback and linkages connecting the moving stops to the seat frame. As the seatback reclines, the moving stops maintain the armrests at an optimally ergonomic angle (e.g., substantially parallel to the seatpan) for as long as possible. When the seatback reaches the fully reclined or berthed configuration, the armrests may be pivoted upward into a berthed orientation flush with the seatback, adding bed space to the berthed configuration.
ARMREST FOR AIRCRAFT SEAT, ASSOCIATED SEAT AND PROCESS
Armrest for aircraft seat, associated seat and process are provided. The armrest includes a stationary part (12) intended to be connected to the seat, a moving part (14) movable relative to the stationary part (12), between a high position in which the moving part (14) is intended to protrude above a seat bottom of the seat and a low position, and a maneuvering mechanism (18) able to guide the movement of the moving part (14) between the high position and the low position. The maneuvering mechanism (18) includes at least a first connecting rod (26) and a second connecting rod (27), each independently connecting the stationary part (12) to the moving part (14), the first connecting rod (26) and the second connecting rod (27) being arranged parallel to one another during the movement of the moving part (14) between the high position and the low position.
Seat Assembly and System
A system may include a seat assembly. The seat assembly may include a seat base, a seat portion mounted to the seat base, and an armrest assembly configured to be in an up position or a down position. The armrest assembly may include a handle operable by a user to lock or unlock at least one functionality of at least one adjustable seat assembly feature. Operation of the handle may be configured at least to: unlock the at least one functionality of at least one adjustable seat assembly feature while locking the armrest assembly from moving between the up position and the down position.
Shared Armrest
A shared armrest includes two armrest members which are each configured for supporting a person's arm. The shared armrest is configured so that at least one of the armrest members is displaceable between an undivided condition and a split condition. In the undivided condition the armrest members are substantially together. In the split condition the armrest members diverge relative to each other with respective distal ends of the armrest members spaced apart from each other.
