AIRCRAFT SEATS WITH AIR VENTS
An aircraft passenger seat ventilation system is disclosed. The ventilation system comprises one or more passenger seats, one or more partitions at a respective armrest portion of the one or more passenger seats, one or more vents along one or more sides of the one or more partitions comprising a plurality of holes, and a suction source configured to suction air from the one or more vents to an air filtration system. The ventilation system provides hygienic travel experiences for passengers and crew members by minimizing the spread of viruses and/or bacteria within the aircraft cabin caused by turbulent air flow.
AIR QUALITY IMPROVEMENT FOR PRESSURIZED AIRCRAFT
Disclosed is a method including sampling the air of a pressurized zone of an aircraft by identifying a pre-existing pressurized air flow in a pressurized zone of an aircraft without substantially blocking the pre-existing pressurized air flow and creating a data record that can be used when cleaning the cabin air ducts using cleaning techniques suitable for cleaning the respective air duct elements using a sequence of cleaning acts suitable for cleaning select elements of the cabin air ducts. The data record includes identification information which can be used to report incidents to the relevant aviation authority.
Method for using Human-safe UVC to Control Contagion Presence within the Aircraft Cabin
The present invention comprises a novel method for reducing the contribution of the aircraft toward the transport of human transmittable contagions, by location of anti-contagion apparatus at selected zones within the aircraft cabin and at key locations outside the aircraft. The anti-contagion apparatus being comprised of a source or array of sources of UVC operating in the human-safe range between 200 nm and 230 nm, and contained within a housing or fixture in a manner to directly expose humans standing within or passing through the space of coverage to a sufficient level of irradiation to kill exposed contagions on their person, in their breathed air, and on any surrounding touch surfaces. The invention encompasses the establishment of aircraft/airport related UVC.sub.222 zones and stations for purpose sole purpose of contagion control, as well as certain design features of the UVC.sub.222 apparatus generating the desired coverage volume and irradiation intensity required of the zone/station application.
Foldable RAM air inlet filter
A filtering assembly that receives an inlet air includes a modulation panel subassembly, an air filter subassembly downstream of the modulation panel subassembly, wherein the air filter subassembly is configured to discharge the inlet air from the filtering assembly, and an arm subassembly configured to move the modulation panel subassembly and to move the air filter subassembly. The air filter subassembly moves into and out of a flow of the inlet air.
VEHICLE CABIN AIR SUPPLY DEVICE AND OPERATING METHOD OF SUCH DEVICE
An operating method of a vehicle cabin air supply device comprising taking fresh air from outside the cabin, diverting the fresh air to an air exhaust during an exhaust duration period after starting the air supply device, before injecting the fresh air into the cabin, such that the fresh air injected in the cabin after the exhaust duration period minimizes unpleasant odors in the cabin. A vehicle cabin air supply device and an aircraft comprising such a device is also provided.
VAPOR CYCLE MACHINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A method, apparatus, system, and computer program product for managing a vapor cycle machine. Data is received for the vapor cycle machine in an aircraft. The data comprises a pressure, a temperature, and a speed for a set of compressors in the vapor cycle machine. A ratio of the pressure to the temperature is determined for the set of compressors that ran during a flight of the aircraft. A set of actions is performed when the ratio of the pressure to the temperature for the set of compressors that ran during the flight of the aircraft exceeds a threshold more than a selected number of times over a range of flights for the aircraft.
REGENERATIVE FILTER SYSTEM
A regenerative filter system includes a regenerative filter material arranged to filter air recirculated from an aircraft interior and means for passing a regeneration air stream through the regenerative filter material to regenerate the filter material by removing adsorbed contaminant therefrom, whereby the means for passing the regeneration air stream comprises means for expanding air exhausted from the aircraft interior and using the expanded air to drive a compressor for compressing and conditioning RAM air to provide the regeneration air stream to the filter material.
AIRCRAFT AIR SUPPLY AND CONTAMINANT DETECTION SYSTEM
An aircraft pressurized air system and method is disclosed. The system includes a compressor that receives and compresses outside air, and an air cycle machine that receives compressed air from the compressor and directs conditioned air to an aircraft pressurized zone. The system also includes a contaminant sensor disposed along an air flow path between the compressor and the aircraft pressurized zone, comprising an optical guide, a metal organic framework on an exterior surface of the optical guide in operative fluid communication with air from the air flow path, a light source in communication with the optical guide at a first end of the optical guide, and a light detector in communication with the optical guide at a second end of the optical guide.
AIRCRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM
An aircraft environmental control system includes means for mixing and conditioning bleed air from a bleed air input and recirculation air from an aircraft interior to provide mixed, conditioned air to the aircraft interior, the system further includes one or more rotating wheels arranged in a path of at least part of the recirculation air, prior to the means for mixing and conditioning, the one or more wheels configured to remove one or more contaminants and/or moisture from the recirculation air before mixing and conditioning.
AIRCRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM
An aircraft environmental control system includes means for mixing and conditioning bleed air from a bleed air input and recirculation air from an aircraft interior to provide mixed, conditioned air to the aircraft interior. The system also includes a first contaminant removal device and a second contaminant removal device arranged in a path of at least part of the recirculation air, prior to the means for mixing and conditioning, and a valve (SV1) arranged to alternate flow of recirculation air through the first and second contaminant removal devices.
