Integrated personal humidifier system
Methods, systems, and apparatuses for temporarily increasing, on demand, the relative humidity of an area located proximate to a user in environments having lower than ambient relative humidity are provided by integrating a personal humidification circuit into a water delivery circuit to provide a diverted flow of water, and provide a flow of water vapor to a user, and returning the relative humidity-enhanced environment to a predetermined relative humidity by purging the environment.
CARRIER TRANSPORT VEHICLE PERSONAL SENSOR ZONE
A processing system deployed in a carrier transport vehicle may establish a wireless communication session with a mobile device of a user, assign a zone of the carrier transport vehicle to the user, the zone including a plurality of network-connected devices, obtain a user profile from the mobile device of the user, determine at least one biometric sensor accessible via the mobile device of the user, obtain biometric data of the user from the at least one biometric sensor accessible via the mobile device of the user, determine a condition of the user based upon the biometric data, identify at least one adjustment to at least one of the plurality of network-connected devices in response to the condition of the user that is determined and the user profile, and apply the at least one adjustment to the at least one of the plurality of network-connected devices.
Variable chiller exhaust with crown ventilation
A variable chiller exhaust system incorporate a plurality of chillers, each chiller having an inlet receiving air from a crown in an aircraft fuselage and an outlet connected to a manifold. A plurality of check valves are connected to the manifold and configured to maintain a differential back pressure on the plurality of chillers of 2″ water pressure or less. The check valves vent into the crown. An exhaust conduit is connected to direct air from the manifold to a variable speed fan. An outflow valve exhausts air from the variable speed fan to an exterior of the fuselage.
VEHICLES, HUMIDIFICATION SYSTEMS FOR A VEHICLE, AND METHODS FOR HUMIDIFYING AN INTERIOR OF A VEHICLE
Vehicles, humidification systems for a vehicle, and methods for humidifying an interior of a vehicle are provided. In one example, the vehicle includes a vehicle structure at least partially surrounding an interior containing interior air. A humidification system is in fluid communication with an air stream and the interior. The humidification system includes a humidifier configured to humidify the air stream to form a humidified air stream that is fluidly communicated to the interior. A water recovery zone is in fluid communication with the interior to receive the interior air and is configured to condense and separate water from the interior air. The water recovery zone is further configured to be in fluid communication with the humidifier and to provide the water to the humidifier.
Shoestring environmental control system for an aircraft
A method of operating an environmental control system of an aircraft includes providing a first medium to the environmental control system including a compressor and a turbine. The first medium is provided to the compressor and the turbine sequentially. A second medium is provided to the environmental control system. In a first mode of operation, the first medium and the second medium mix within the turbine and in a second mode of operation the second medium bypasses the turbine such that the first medium and the second medium mix downstream from the turbine.
High volume flow management of cooling air
A flow management system for delivering air to a heat load of an aircraft includes a cover having an opening for receiving and directing an airflow, and a duct defining a non-linear fluid flow path. The fluid flow path operably couples the opening and the heat load. A configuration of the fluid flow path reduces a velocity of the airflow therein while minimizing a pressure drop of the airflow.
Fresh air ECS
An environmental control system of a vehicle includes a ram air circuit including a ram air shell having a ram air heat exchanger positioned therein, a dehumidification system arranged in fluid communication with the ram air circuit, a first compression device arranged in fluid communication with the dehumidification system, the first compression device including a first compressor, and a second compression device arranged in fluid communication with the ram air circuit. The second compression device includes a second compressor. A first medium is provided to the first compressor and to the second compressor in series.
Environmental control system utilizing cabin air to drive a power turbine of an air cycle machine and utilizing multiple mix points for recirculation air in accordance with pressure mode
A system is provided. The system includes an inlet providing a first medium; an inlet providing a second medium; a compressing device including a compressor and a turbine; and at least one heat exchanger located downstream of the compressor. The compressing device is in communication with the inlet providing the first medium. The turbine is downstream of the compressor. An outlet of the at least one heat exchanger is in fluid communication with an inlet of the compressor and an inlet of the turbine.
HUMIDIFICATION SYSTEM FOR AIRCRAFT
An aircraft humidification system includes a first duct configured to guide a first air stream, and a second duct configured to guide a second air stream, the second duct including a humidifier for humidifying the air stream in the second duct. A first conduit directs part of the second air stream to the first duct. The first conduit includes a first conduit inlet leading into the first duct and a first conduit outlet extending from the second duct. A second conduit directs part of the first air stream to the second duct, the second conduit including a second conduit inlet leading into the second duct and a second conduit outlet extending from the first duct. The first conduit outlet is arranged downstream of the humidifier, the second conduit inlet is arranged downstream of the first conduit outlet and the first conduit inlet is arranged downstream of the second conduit outlet.
Systems and methods to produce aircraft cabin supply air
Systems to produce cabin supply air for aircraft and related methods are described herein. An example system includes an air conditioning pack including a heat exchanger including a first flow path and a second flow path isolated from the first flow path. The second flow path is to receive cabin exhaust air from a cabin of an aircraft. The cabin exhaust air is to reduce a temperature of the cabin supply air flowing through the first flow path of the heat exchanger. The system also includes a turbine to receive the cabin supply air from the heat exchanger. The turbine is to reduce a temperature and pressure of the cabin supply air. A turbine outlet of the turbine is fluidly coupled to the cabin to provide the cabin supply air to the cabin. The system further includes a fan to direct the cabin exhaust air from the heat exchanger.
