INSERT FOR SUCTION DUCT
An insert for an air intake of a suction duct, the insert including an inner portion configured to extend within the suction duct, a mating portion configured for sealingly engaging the air intake, and an outer portion configured for extending outside of the suction duct. The inner portion includes a conduit having a central axis extending along an inlet direction at the inlet end and along an outlet direction at the outlet end, the inlet and outlet directions being non-parallel. The outlet end has a smaller cross-sectional area than that of the suction duct. The insert includes an inlet in fluid communication with the inlet end of the conduit. The outer portion includes a curved lip surrounding at least part of an inlet opening of the inlet, the lip configured to direct a flow into the inlet opening and toward the inlet end of the conduit.
Aircraft environmental control system
An aircraft environmental control system includes a bleed air input and a RAM air input, heat exchanger means for receiving bleed air from the bleed air input and RAM air from the RAM air input and using the RAM air to cool the bleed air, and ejector arranged to receive bleed air from the bleed air input at a nozzle shaped to reduce the pressure of the received bleed air such as to create a low pressure area in the ejector. The ejector has a port arranged such that ambient air is drawn into the ejector due to the low pressure area in the ejector. The ambient air is mixed with bleed air to provide mixed air that is further pressurised and conditioned and combined with the cooled bleed air provided to the aircraft.
Exhaled air purification unit and system for indoor multi-person venues or environments
An air management system for a common indoor room or space that comprises a plurality of air outflow apertures or vents, a plurality of air curtains having at least a portion of the air curtains separated from one another, a plurality of separated air suction intakes, and an air sterilization and/or air cleaning mechanism.
Exhaled air purification unit and system for indoor multi-person venues or environments
An air purification unit and/or system for an environment with multiple seated individuals, including an air collector and air purification chamber, to be used independently from or in conjunction with the environment's air handling system.
AIRCRAFT HAVING AN ENGINE AND A SYSTEM FOR COOLING THE ENGINE
An aircraft having an engine, a cabin, an air conditioning system collecting the hot air from the engine, so as to treat the hot air, regulate a temperature of the hot air and send the hot air towards the cabin via a main line, an air line channeling the air leaving the cabin, and an arrangement for cooling the engine using the air thus drawn off by the air line. By drawing off the air at the outlet of the cabin, the performance of the engine is improved and the fuel consumption is reduced.
System for mixing and distributing air in an aircraft cabin and aircraft having such a system
A system for mixing and distributing air in an aircraft cabin, comprising: a first, internal air supply line, a second air supply line at least partially surrounding the internal air supply line, and a mixed air distribution system for mixing the air supplied from the air supply lines and for distributing the mixed air. The mixed air distribution system comprises a plurality of outlet lines for the outlet of mixed air into the aircraft cabin. The two air supply lines comprise outlets which, in each case, discharge into the mixed air distribution system. The two air supply lines are thermally coupled, and the main directions of extent of the air supply lines and of the mixed air distribution system are oriented substantially parallel or collinear to one another.
HEAT EXCHANGER MANIFOLD
A manifold for a heat exchanger includes a manifold body configured to house heat exchanger components including a blower for circulating air and means for performing heat exchange between the air and a heat exchange fluid. The manifold also includes an opening (A) via which air enters the blower, an inlet for receiving air from the heat exchanger and an outlet for outputting air from the manifold. The manifold also includes a flow channel extending between the inlet and the outlet. The channel defines a helical flow path from the inlet to the outlet.
MIST AND VAPOR ELIMINATING FILTER, DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
Mist and vapor eliminating filters, devices, methods of filtering aircraft air using the devices, and systems including the devices, are disclosed.
Air Purification System For Passenger Transport Cabin
An air purification system for a passenger cabin of a transport vessel. The air purification system comprises an elongated air compartment having a panel, with a plurality of openings along the panel. Air filters reside within the various openings to receive air from inside the cabin. The system also includes a plurality of air tubes. Air moves through the air tubes, aided by a source of compressed air to motive flow valves. The motive flow valves create suction to draw air into the air compartment from the passenger cabin. The system also includes at least one UV-C light source. The UV-C light resides within the air compartment, and disinfects the air moving through the air compartment. A plurality of air outlets are also placed along the lower panel, with each outlet configured to release air at selected points to provide a continuous distribution of filtered and disinfected air into the passenger cabin.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM FOR USE IN AN AIRCRAFT
An environmental control system for use in an aircraft includes at least one component positioned along a length of the aircraft and a decompression panel assembly comprising an array of apertures. The array of apertures is based on a location of the decompression panel assembly along the length of the aircraft relative to the at least one component.
