Various non-limiting embodiments of a tool for actuating a valve, a method for making a tool for actuating a valve, and a method for actuating a valve, are provided. In one example, the tool includes a shaft defining a longitudinal axis and configured to transfer force to the valve for actuating the valve. A body has a wall surrounding a portion of the shaft. The wall defines a track that is formed therein and that has a track section substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis. A positive feature is coupled to the shaft and disposed in the track. The shaft is slidingly coupled to the body and when a force is applied to the shaft in a direction aligned with the longitudinal axis, the shaft moves relative to the body and the positive feature moves through the track section that restricts the shaft from being rotated about the longitudinal axis.

A fuel drain engagement tool and a method for draining fuel from a fuel tank are provided. In one example, a fuel drain engagement tool includes a housing. An engagement mechanism is coupled with the housing and extending upward therefrom. The engagement mechanism is configured to engage a fuel drain valve and to move between a contracted state and an expanded state. A compression applicator is coupled with the housing and is positioned to engage the engagement mechanism when the compression applicator is compressed to apply a force to the engagement mechanism that causes the engagement mechanism to move from the expanded state to the contracted state.

The shaft has a resistivity greater than the resistivity of the fuel tank between the first end and the second end to minimize electrical transfer between the motor and the fuel.

The exterior surface defines a second surface area that is less than the first surface area of the opening and a device peripheral edge, which has a first section having an edge profile complimentary to at least a portion of the opening peripheral edge and a second section having an indented edge profile in relation to the first section such that when the noise attenuating device is secured within the opening, at least one gap is formed between the device peripheral edge and the opening peripheral edge.
