Systems and methods provide airflow to a flight deck from a passenger entry area. The system includes a fan mounted within a door separating a flight deck from a passenger entry area. The fan is configured to direct airflow from the passenger entry area into the flight deck. The fan having a shield positioned adjacent to the passenger entry area that is configured to conceal the fan.

A privacy door assembly for installation in an aircraft relative to a flight deck door of the aircraft includes a door frame having a first post and a second post, where the second post comprises a latch recess. The privacy door comprises a latch positioned on an edge of the privacy door and arranged to engage the latch recess when the privacy door is in a closed position within the door frame. An access door is positioned in the privacy door, where the access door is rotatable from a closed position to an open position in a forward direction. A first mechanical door handle system including a mechanical combination lock is positioned on an aft side of the privacy door and coupled to the latch, and a second mechanical door handle system is positioned on a forward side of the privacy door and coupled to the latch.
Mechanical time delay security latches and methods
A time-delay latch for securing a structure in a specified position includes a housing, a fluid chamber contained within the housing for holding fluid, a pin that extends through the fluid chamber and is axially movable within and through the fluid chamber, and a release frame movably secured within the housing. When the pin is in a latched position, the release frame engages with the pin to prevent axial movement of the pin. When the pin is in an unlatched position, the release frame disengages from the pin to allow axial movement of the pin. The axial movement of the pin between the latched position and the unlatched position requires a prescribed duration of time to elapse. During operation, the axial movement of the pin between the unlatched position and the latched position can occur faster than the prescribed duration of time.
Quick-release hinge devices, systems and methods
A rapidly disassembled hinge suitable for use in an aircraft includes a first attachment plate attached to a supported structure, a second attachment plate attached to a supporting structure, and a pin with a notch in an outer surface thereof, which is insertable into portions of the first and second attachment plates for pivotably connecting the first and second attachment plates together. The pin is inserted so that the notch is positioned within the second attachment structure when the hinge is in an assembled state. A key includes a main body and a distal end extending from the main body, the distal end being insertable within the notch of the pin. The key is movable such that the distal end of the key can be inserted into and removed from engagement with the notch of the pin to provide for toolless disassembly of the hinge.

An internal cabin of a vehicle includes a vehicle control area. A first door is coupled to the vehicle control area. The first door is moveable between a first open position and a first closed position. An aisle extends between the vehicle control area and a passenger seating area. A forward section of the aisle is disposed between a first monument and a second monument. A second door is disposed within the aisle between the first monument and the second monument. The second door is moveable between a second open position and a second closed position. A privacy vestibule is defined between the second door in the second closed position, the first monument, the second monument, and the vehicle control area.
Access device provided with a folding door enabling secure communication between at least two zones of an enclosure
An access device enables controlled or secure communication between different areas of an enclosure, and in the example illustrated in the present application of an aircraft, while providing reduced size. The access device includes a folding door which, when in folded position, allows at least one of said openings to be closed and, when in deployed position, forms a security vestibule with at least one movable shutter allowing said opening created by the deployment of said folding door to be closed. By superimposing the main components of the security vestibule that said components allow to close, the device frees up the adjoining cabin space when the security vestibule is not in use.
