Systems and methods for monitoring storage of carry-on items in storage bins of an aircraft
A system of monitoring carry-on items for a flight of an aircraft includes one or more cameras positioned to capture images of carry-on items associated with passengers of an aircraft. The system includes an interface configured to receive image data from the one or more cameras. The system also includes one or more processors coupled to the interface. The one or more processors are configured to analyze the image data to determine characteristics of a carry-on item. The one or more processors are configured to determine that one or more alert conditions are satisfied based on a comparison of one or more alert criteria to the characteristics of the carry-on item and data associated with the aircraft. The one or more processors are also configured to send, to one or more devices, an output based on satisfaction of the one or more alert conditions.
Flexible circuit card assembly with preformed undulations for surveillance system hinge assembly
A hinge assembly configured for attachment to two objects is described herein. The hinge assembly includes: a flexible circuit board having planar conductive circuitry and including at least one preformed undulation in a region of the flexible circuit board, wherein the at least one undulation is configured to allow the flexible circuit board to bend at the region; and a plurality of plated-through holes defined by the flexible circuit board, wherein the holes are configured to allow attachment of the flexible circuit board to the two objects, wherein the flexible circuit board is configured to movably and electrically connect the two objects.
Information projection and control system
An information projection and control system for projecting information onto a projection area provided by a vehicle door, comprising at least one control unit that generates information, for projection onto the projection area; at least one projection device that projects the generated information onto the projection area; and at least one movement sensor that detects movements in a sensing area associated with the projection area, wherein the at least one control unit is adapted to control generation of the generated information on the basis of the detected movements.
AIRCRAFT PASSENGER READING LIGHT
An aircraft passenger reading light comprises at least one reading light source, which is arranged for emitting visible light in a reading light emission direction; and at least one infrared light source, which is arranged for emitting infrared light in an infrared light emission direction. The infrared light emission direction is inclined with respect to the reading light emission direction.
System and method for providing infrared interior lighting for an airplane video surveillance system
Systems and methods for illuminating an airplane cabin using a light strip comprising a plurality of spectrally-tuned illuminators within a housing are provided. The illuminators include a first visible light illuminator and an infrared illuminator. The light strip is disposed to provide indirect infrared illumination of the cabin via diffuse reflection from a surface of the cabin (wash lighting) from a shrouded location. The illuminators include light emitting diodes (LEDs), and include white and some combination of red, yellow, green, and blue. A controller varies intensities of each illuminator, to emphasize or de-emphasize various colors or infrared illumination throughout an interior of the airplane cabin.
Camera module and system for surveillance of a passenger cabin of an aircraft, and aircraft
A camera module for surveillance of a passenger cabin of an aircraft, including a covering device for securing in a longitudinal cutout of a service channel including a carrier part having a circular securing cutout and including a mounting structure at least partly surrounding the securing cutout. A camera device includes a camera housing having a mounting portion with a spherically curved outer surface, and includes a camera unit having a lens accommodated in a front cutout of the camera housing, an optical sensor for generating image data, the optical sensor being in an interior of the camera housing, and a data interface for transferring the image data, wherein the camera housing is mounted by the mounting portion in the mounting structure to be rotatable or pivotable about at least two axes, and a locking device for locking the camera housing relative to the mounting structure.
METHOD FOR PILOTING AN AIRCRAFT
A method for piloting a pre-existing aircraft comprising the following steps: integrating an alternative piloting system (1) into the pre-existing aircraft; connecting the aircraft (200) and a ground station in which a ground pilot (207) is positioned; when the aircraft is in a normal state, having the aircraft piloted by a nominal crew; using detection means to detect the occurrence of an emergency situation and, when the occurrence of the emergency is detected: making the ground pilot (207) operational, so that the ground pilot can produce an aircraft ground piloting set-point; transmitting the ground piloting setpoint to the aircraft; using the alternative piloting system to acquire and transmit the ground piloting setpoint to the aircraft flight control system.
Non-intrusive passenger rest cabin monitoring system
A passenger cabin monitoring system includes infrared cameras disposed in respective passenger rest compartments, a flight attendant information system including at least one display and at least one speaker, and a computing device in communication with the infrared cameras and the flight attendant information system. The computing device is configured to detect a temperature of a portion of passenger rest compartment based on one or more thermal images generated by a respective infrared camera of the passenger rest compartment. The computing device is further configured to compare the temperature of the portion of the passenger rest compartment with a predetermined critical temperature and provide an audible alert and/or a visual alert via the flight attendant information system to indicate a critical status of the passenger rest compartment when the temperature of the portion of the passenger rest compartment is above the predetermined critical temperature.
