A portable weighing unit (10) comprising a body having a pair of side walls (12, 14) and an end wall (13) defining a space for receiving an animal. A holder (17) mounted with respect to the body and configured to receive an enticement (18) for attracting an animal into the space. A reader (19) mounted with respect to the body and configured to read animal identification (ID) information provided on an ID tag of the animal. A platform (15) located within said space to receive the front feet of the animal and take a weight measurement of the front feet. A controller (20) for receiving the said weight measurement from the platform and the animal ID information from the reader and transmit them to a remote processor for processing wherein the processor is configured to convert the weight measurement of the front feet to a full body weight measurement for the animal.

A feeding system to feed non-human animals includes a first autonomous mobile device and a second autonomous mobile device. The first autonomous mobile device includes a feed holder to receive feed, a feed mixer to mix the received feed, and a feed dispenser configured to dispense feed to the second autonomous mobile device. The second autonomous mobile device includes a feed holder to receive feed from the first autonomous mobile device.

A portable pet feeder and supply storage apparatus has a first compartment having a base and sidewalls defining a first open space; a second compartment having a lid and sidewalls defining a second open space; a divider interposed between the first and second compartments, wherein the second compartment and the divider are hinged to the first compartment, the divider has a gasket; wherein the second compartment and the divider may be pivoted towards the first compartment to assume a closed position, the gasket on the divider providing a water-tight seal between the first compartment and the divider; a water dish and a food dish both removably insertable within the first open space; at least one removable container receivable within the second open space, the removable container configured to be refillable and water-tight; and wherein the second compartment and the divider are removably attachable to the first compartment.

According to embodiments disclosed herein, there is provided a system for loading, mixing and transporting feed. The system includes a scoop assembly and a mixing tub that are movable overhead a series of storage bays. The scoop assembly may retrieve commodities from the storage bays and load measured quantities of the commodities into the mixing tub.

The system includes a sweep mechanism connected to the frame that facilitates movement of the livestock.

An animal food caddy that stores animal-related items and is designed to improve animal posture and comfort. The animal food caddy has an upper and lower section which have dual functionality depending on the use. The first application of the animal food caddy is as a portable container that stores animal-related contents such as food, snacks or toys. The second application of the animal food caddy is as a feeding apparatus that generally functions as a non-skid placeholder to stabilize the upper section while the animal is feeding. The inner concave surface of the upper section has a low coefficient of friction designed so that food gravitationally funnels toward the nadir of the bowl.
