Quad tilt rotor unmanned aircraft
An aircraft is described with both VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing) capabilities and convention airplane capabilities. A preferred embodiment comprises a fuselage and fixed wing, with one boom on either side of the fuselage. Each boom comprises a tilt rotor on a fore end and a fixed rotor on the aft end. Both rotors can be directed vertically for VTOL capability. During cruise the tilt rotors can be directed forward for thrust and the fixed rotors can be stopped and directed along the boom axis, minimizing drag. The described embodiments have advantages in weight savings and maneuverability compared to other VTOL aircraft.
Ground Support Equipment For A High Altitude Long Endurance Aircraft
Systems, devices, and methods for a ground support system for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) including: at least one handling fixture, where each handling fixture is configured to support at least one wing panel of the UAV; and at least one dolly, where each dolly is configured to receive at least one landing pod of the UAV, and where each landing pod supports at least one wing panel of the UAV; where the at least one handling fixture and the at least one dolly are configured to move and rotate two or more wing panels to align the two or more wing panels with each other for assembly of the UAV; and where the at least one dolly further allows for transportation of the UAV over uneven terrain.
System and method for modular unmanned aerial system
A modular Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) has first and second flight configurations, and includes an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) parent module and a plurality of UAV child modules. The parent module may have a fuselage, forward and aft wings connected to the fuselage, and a first plurality of flight propulsion devices. The child modules have a corresponding second plurality of flight propulsion devices. Each child module docks wingtip-to-wingtip with the parent module or an adjacent edge of a child module using the docking mechanisms. The child modules undock and separate from the forward wing and each other, and achieve controlled flight independently of the parent module while in the second flight configuration. A method for controlling the modular UAS is also disclosed.
Using multirotor lifters to rendezvous with fixed wing aircraft
This disclosure describes systems and processes using multirotor lifter to deploy and/or engage fixed wing aircraft. For example, one or more unmanned multirotor lifters may engage an unmanned fixed wing aircraft, aerially navigate the fixed wing aircraft vertically to a desired altitude, and then release the fixed wing aircraft so that the fixed wing aircraft can initiate a flight plan. In some implementations, multirotor lifter may also be configured to engage fixed wing aircraft while both the multirotor lifters and the fixed wing aircraft are in flight.
Unmanned aerial vehicle
The embodiment is an unmanned aerial vehicle. The unmanned aerial vehicle includes: an airframe, including first mounting portions, where the first mounting portion includes a first mounting body and connecting rods formed on the first mounting body, the connecting rods extending in a pitch axis direction; and a power assembly, including a first assembling body and eccentric wheels mounted on the first assembling body, where the eccentric wheel is rotatable between a first rotation position and a second rotation position of the first assembling body around a rotation axis of the first assembling body, the rotation axis being perpendicular to the pitch axis direction.

UNMANNED SUPPLY DELIVERY AIRCRAFT
A heavy payload, autonomous UAV able to deliver supply by way of airdrop with more precision and at a lower cost. The UAV is equipped with two movable wing systems that rotate from a stowed position to a deployed position upon jettison of the UAV from a mothership. The UAV can be controlled remotely or it can operate autonomously and the movable wings can include ailerons to effectuate flight control of the UAV. The UAV can be reusable or can be an expendable UAV.
Unmanned aerial vehicle
An unmanned aerial vehicle includes a plurality of arm units, each having a rotary wing, a motor, and an arm main body and detachably coupled to a main body; the main body having a plurality of receptacles for coupling to the arm units; and a battery unit detachably coupled to the main body to be exposed to outside, in which at least a part of the battery unit is exposed to outside when the battery unit is coupled to the main body.
Methods and unmanned aerial vehicles for longer duration flights
The present application provides an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for a long duration flight. An exemplary UAV may include a UAV body assembly. The UAV may also include a flight control system (FCS) coupled to the UAV body assembly. The UAV may further include a motor coupled to the UAV body assembly at one end and coupled to a propeller at the other end. The FCS is communicatively connected to the motor. A center of gravity (CG) of the UAV is at a point between 21% and 25% of a mean aerodynamic chord (MAC) of the UAV.
Quick-release wing structure and an unmanned aerial vehicle using the same
A quick-release wing structure includes a lock cylinder assembly and a lock head. The lock cylinder assembly is installed in the fuselage. The lock cylinder assembly includes a shell and a lock plate. An installation slot is opened inside the shell. The side wall of the installation slot is provided with a clamping hole connected with the installation slot. The lock plate is sliding and arranged in the installation slot. The lock head is installed in the wing. A locking slot is set on the periphery of the lock head. The lock head can pass through the clamping hole and drive the lock plate to move. When the locking slot is facing the lock plate, the lock head is clamped onto the locking slot and fixed. The UAV includes the quick-release wing structure described above.
