The invention relates to a method of capping a hollow container, the container including a neck which defines an opening towards the interior of the container, the capping method including the following steps: placing a film over the entire edge of the opening in the container so as to cover the opening; deep drawing the film in the opening in the neck of the container with a die, such that the film forms a collar, a central region and a riser at the junction between the collar and the central region, the riser being in contact with the inner wall of the neck; and securing the deep drawn film to the neck, thus rendering the film integral with the body of the container.

An apparatus for application of a film (2) to a support (3), comprising: a movement path with an application station (6); a movement element (13) slidable along the movement path; a supporting element (14) coupled to and movable with the movement element (13) which defines a housing (23) for the support (3); an application device (4) in the application station (6) for applying the film (2) to the support (3) when the supporting element (14) is in the station. The application device (4) comprises a closing element (32), a contact element (33) and the supporting element (14) in the application station (6) interposed between them. When the supporting element (14) is in the application station (6), the closing element (32) and the supporting element are movable between an opening position, in which they are uncoupled and spaced apart from each other, and a closing position, in which they are coupled to apply the film (2) to the support (3). The contact element (33) supports the supporting element (14) when the supporting element and the closing element (32) are in the closing position.

Described is a packaging, and method and system for packaging an individual and single serving of plant matter, such as a cannabis flower. Also described are a method of making and using for the packaging.

A container has a product in a product-receiving area and has a sealing area surrounding the product-receiving area. A length of film is arranged over the container. A space above the film is evacuated using an evacuating portion of an upper sealing module arranged over the film, so as to cause a portion of the film to conform to the upper sealing module. An area of the film is cut out by moving a cutting tool relative to the upper sealing module from a recessed position to a cutting position. The cut-out area of film includes the portion of the film conformed to the upper sealing module, is brought into contact with the sealing area of the container by moving the upper sealing module relative to the container, and is sealed to the sealing area of the container using a heat sealing portion of the upper sealing module.

An apparatus for applying a lid (2) to a support (3) containing a product. The apparatus (1) comprises a supporting element (10), having a contact portion (13), and a closing element (11), having a fixing portion (17), which are movable between a home position and a working position, in which the closing element (11) is partly inserted into the seat (12) having one or more lateral surfaces (16) defining the contact portion (13). When the two elements (10), (11) are in the working position, the fixing portion (17) is in the seat (12) and the two portions (17), (13) are coupled for clamping a part of the lid (2) and a part of at least one lateral wall (5). The fixing portion (17) is configured to fix the part of the lid (2) and the part of the lateral wall (5) which are clamped.
