A recyclable shrink label includes a heat shrink film having a first surface and a second surface opposite of the first surface; and a light blocking layer disposed adjacent the first surface and comprising a light blocking component, the light blocking layer being constructed for the recyclable shrink label to block at least 80% of incident light having wavelengths in a range of 200 nm to 900 nm. The recyclable shrink label may further include an indicia layer. The recyclable shrink label may further include a high opacity layer. The recyclable shrink label may be applied to a container, e.g., a recyclable container. Articles including the recyclable shrink label may be recycled in a process where both the container and the label are recognized as a resin and may be directed into a corresponding recycling stream. In some cases, both the container and the label include PET.

APPARATUS FOR SEALING OPEN-TOPPED CONTAINERS WITH HEAT-SHRINKING FILM MATERIAL
An apparatus for lidding an open container includes a housing, a feed mechanism, and a sealing assembly. The housing is configured to support a roll of a film lidding material. The feed mechanism is configured to communicate a portion of the film lidding material from the housing toward a dispense location. The sealing assembly is attached to the housing and configured to present the film lidding material for interaction with an open end of a container disposed underneath and proximate thereto. The sealing assembly is movable relative to the housing between a first position vertically above the open end of the container and a second position suitable for establishing contact between the film lidding material and the open end and enabling sealing of the film lidding material around the open end. The sealing assembly is configured for substantially vertical translation between the first position and the second position.

A food package and related methods of food package formation with a form-fill-seal machine utilizing both a non-forming shrinkable lidding film and a thermoforming film. The thermoforming film, in either rigid or semi-rigid forms, can be formed into a base having a pocket or cavity for storing food items. The non-forming shrinkable lidding film can be attached to a perimeter and/or flange of the base for sealing and enclosing the food items. The food package provides an economical packaging solution that avoids compromising appearance and/or packaging performance.

The machine includes a first zone configured to dispense a container from a stack of containers, a second zone configured to fill the container with a beverage substrate, a third zone configured to seal the container and dispense a filled container, and a carriage configured to transport the container between the first and second zones, and between the second and third zones.

APPARATUS FOR SEALING OPEN-TOPPED CONTAINERS WITH HEAT-SHRINKING FILM MATERIAL
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for lidding an open container are provided herein. A system for lidding an open container includes a sealing assembly coupled to a housing and configured to dispense film lidding material for interaction with an open end of a container disposed proximate thereto. At least a portion of the sealing assembly is vertically translatable relative to the housing. The system includes at least one substantially vertical rail extending from the housing. The at least one substantially vertical rail is configured to guide the substantial vertical translation of the at least the portion of the sealing assembly.
