An apparatus is provided for inserting container inserts into the throats of liquid containers. The apparatus includes an elongated and inclined container insert support tray having an outer end and an inner end with the insert support tray being mounted on a support frame. The insert support tray is vibrated to cause the container inserts therein to move towards the inner end thereof. An insert positioner is mounted at the inner end of the container insert tray. A station for sealing thermoformed containers for a packaging line and a method for sealing the containers includes a sealing carousel which rotates continuously about a central axis and includes sealing heads which are radially spaced apart from said central axis. Each sealing head is adapted to receive at least one container to be sealed at a first, input, peripheral region, which is outside the sealing carousel; receive at least one closing seal at a second, input, peripheral region, which is outside the sealing carousel; and hold the closing seal and the container during the rotation of the sealing carousel and couple them together.

The station further releases the container complete with the closing seal at a third, output, peripheral region, which is outside the sealing carousel and angularly spaced from the first and from the second region.

A cap stabilizer of a capping device includes a fastening element that connects the cap stabilizer to the capping device such that the cap stabilizer is removable from the capping device by sliding the cap stabilizer in a first direction, opposite a direction of travel of container to be capped by the capping device.

A sterilization apparatus for sterilizing receptacle closures, comprising: a treatment chamber having an inlet station and an outlet station; a feeding device configured to feed a succession of receptacle closures to the inlet station; a conveyor configured to convey the receptacle closures through the treatment chamber from the inlet station to the outlet station; a sterilization agent injection device configured to inject a sterilization agent into the treatment chamber, wherein: the conveyor includes a plurality of adjacent guide rails; the feeding device is configured to feed the receptacle closures to at least one active guide rail of the plurality of guide rails; and the sterilization agent injection device includes a plurality of injection devices, each injection device being associated with one of the guide rails; and a controller configured to selectively actuate the injection devices according to a first and second operative mode.

The present invention is directed to an apparatus for loading stacks of container lids into an associated lid-applying apparatus, as typically found in a container filling facility. The apparatus includes a reciprocably movable carriage which is positioned generally above the lid-applying apparatus. The carriage can be positioned in a first, loading position, which is generally offset from the apparatus for convenient placement of the lid stacks by operators. The carriage can then be moved over the lid-applying apparatus to a second, unloading position. The carriage includes movable lid supports, which then open to release the lid stacks downwardly onto the lid-applying apparatus. In the preferred form, vertically movable lid cradles extend upwardly from the lid-applying apparatus, and receive the lid stacks from beneath carriage. The cradles then move downwardly, carrying the lid stacks downwardly, for transfer of the stacks onto the lid-applying apparatus.
