CONTROLLED CONTAINER HEADSPACE ADJUSTMENT AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
A sealing and pressure dosing apparatus, and container filling method, including a capping machine (102) which receives containers (1). Closures (80) are applied to the containers (1) immediately following the raising of pressure within the containers (1) by a pressure dosing system in a pressure sealing chamber (84). Preferably a cooling system is integrated with the capping machine.
DEVICES FOR CAPPING VIALS USEFUL IN SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISPENSING PRESCRIPTIONS
An apparatus for securing a cap on a cylindrical container includes: a stage including a receiving region for separately receiving a cap and a container; and an elevator movable upwardly away from the stage and downwardly toward the stage. The elevator includes: a carrier disposed over the stage; a capturing member on the carrier and configured to capture the cap; and at least one extendable member extending from the carrier, the at least one extendable member movable from a home position with the extendable member above a center of the cap and an engagement position with the extendable member engaging the center of the cap and urging the center of the cap downwardly relative to an outer sidewall of the cap.
Low weight closure having an improved gripping surface
A closure includes a top panel and a corner section connecting an outer periphery of the top panel with a downwardly extending annular skirt. A plurality of gently curved ridges are spaced about the outer perimeter of the closure. The ridges generally extend from a lower portion of the skirt and around the corner section, with the upper ends of the ridges terminating proximate the top panel outer periphery. A plurality of knurls extend radially outwards from the midpoints of the ridges along the skirt of the closure. The configuration, arrangement, and spacing of the ridges and knurls about the closure provide an enhanced grip and feel, allowing for easier twist-off of the closure from a container. The closure may be used interchangeably with existing capping chucks used to apply conventional closures without requiring any modification to the capping chucks to apply the closures to containers during a capping process.
Method and device for forming packaging units
A closure unit includes a closure head that closes a container by applying a closure onto a container opening thereof, a grouper that brings closed containers close together to form a bundle of closed containers, and an adhesive applicator that applies adhesive to a circumferential side wall of a container.
Interactive closure device and beverage container
An interactive beverage container includes a beverage container that defines an opening which may be sealed by a closure. The closure may further include circuitry that is configured to transmit data to a mobile device. When the closure is in a closed configuration with the closure attached to the opening, the circuitry does not transmit data to the mobile device and when the closure is in an open configuration with the closure removed from the opening, the circuitry transmits data to the mobile device. The data may include nutritional information, marketing materials, videos, track loyalty programs, and/or provide games or contests.
Cleaning, filling, and capping containers
Systems and methods for filling and sealing a container can include a housing having an opening for receiving containers, a rotary assembly including mount assemblies disposed in the housing, the rotary assembly operable to rotate the of mount assemblies about a central axis, a washing station, a filling station, a steam injector, and cap setter disposed in the housing.
ONE TIME USE BOTTLE
A one-time use bottle. The bottle is filled with a drinkable liquid and then a liner is sealed on top of the bottle. A lid contains lid assembly threads which cooperate with neck assembly threads located on the neck of the bottle which enable the lid to be screwed onto the bottle in a sealed position. The lid also contains lid opening threads which cooperate with neck opening threads located on the neck of the bottle which enable the lid to be screwed into the neck further thereby cutting into the liner and exposing the drinkable liquid. The drinkable liquid can now be drank via a spout in the lid. The lid cannot be removed from the neck and hence once used, the apparatus would have no further use and would be disposed of.
TOOL-LESS ADJUSTMENT ASSEMBLY FOR CHANGING A TORQUE SETTING ON BOTTLE CAPPING HEADSETS
A method and means by which capping chucks can be torque adjusted without removing the capping chuck from production or taking the adjustment assembly apart for setting the torque on the equipment.
Applying unit for applying a lid onto a container
An applying unit for applying lids to necks of containers may be provided. The applying unit may include a conveying device configured to advance the containers along a path in an advancement direction; a group of applying heads, each applying head configured to screw a lid onto a corresponding neck; and a movement device configured to move the group of applying heads along the advancement direction, so that each applying head may be coupled to a corresponding neck along a portion of the path. The movement device may be configured to act on a common support element configured to support the applying heads of the group, so as to synchronously move the applying heads along the advancement direction.
Horizontal/vertical grip anti-rotation capping knife
Disclosed is a unique knife plate structure for preventing rotation of a plastic container during the capping operation, wherein the container neck is provided with a finish ring or lip, wherein the knife plate is formed to provide laterally and vertically directed sharp edged or pointed container neck contact spikes each of which spikes penetrates (slightly) a portion of the plastic neck surface at the junction of the underside of the finish ring with the neck to hold the container in a fixed non-rotational position while the cap or lid is being rotationally applied.
