APPARATUS FOR CAPPING A CONTAINER

An apparatus for capping a container (10) comprises: a conveying device for conveying the container (10) along a path; an applying head (23) for applying a lid (1) onto a neck (9) included in an opening device of the container (10); a welding head (43) arranged downstream of the applying head (23), the welding head (43) comprising a welding element (51) for welding the lid (1) to the opening device.

A METHOD OF, AND AN APPLYING HEAD FOR, APPLYING A LID ONTO A CONTAINER

A method of applying a lid (1) onto a neck (9) of a container (10), the lid (1) having a side wall (3) extending around an axis and an end wall (2) extending transversely to said axis, comprises the following steps: positioning the lid (1) onto the neck (9); exerting on the end wall (2) a force directed towards the container (10), so as to level the lid (1) on the neck (9); screwing the lid (1) onto the neck (9) by rotating the lid (1) in a screwing direction.

Test tube capping and de-capping apparatus

An apparatus for automated capping and de-capping of test tubes having an ejector pin system for individualized cap ejection.

A closure includes a top panel and a corner section connecting an outer periphery of the top panel with a downwardly extending annular skirt. A plurality of gently curved ridges are spaced about the outer perimeter of the closure. The ridges generally extend from a lower portion of the skirt and around the corner section, with the upper ends of the ridges terminating proximate the top panel outer periphery. A plurality of knurls extend radially outwards from the midpoints of the ridges along the skirt of the closure. The configuration, arrangement, and spacing of the ridges and knurls about the closure provide an enhanced grip and feel, allowing for easier twist-off of the closure from a container. The closure may be used interchangeably with existing capping chucks used to apply conventional closures without requiring any modification to the capping chucks to apply the closures to containers during a capping process.

AN APPLYING UNIT FOR APPLYING A LID ONTO A CONTAINER

An applying unit for applying lids (1) to necks (9) of containers (10) comprises: a conveying device for advancing the containers (10) along a path in an advancement direction (F); a group of applying heads (23), each applying head (23) being arranged to screw a lid (1) onto a corresponding neck (9); a movement device (26) for moving the group of applying heads (23) along the advancement direction (F), so that each applying head (23) is coupled to a corresponding neck (9) along a portion of said path. The movement device (26) is configured to act on a common support element (24) supporting the applying heads (23) of said group, so as to move synchronously the applying heads (23) along the advancement direction (F).

DEVICE FOR THE FILLING AND/OR CLOSING OF CONTAINERS HAVING A DRIVE ACTUATOR DECONTAMINATION BOX

A filling/closing device comprises a conditioned zone 2 for performing operations to containers. A drive actuator 11 of an operating system is movable with into and out of the zone. The drive actuator extends through a decontamination box 14 with an outer suction chamber 15 and an inner sterilization chamber 16 is provided. A sterilization medium supply 17 connects to the sterilization chamber, and a discharge 22 connects to the suction chamber. One or more outflow gaps 20, 21 are provided which connect the sterilization to the suction chamber. According to the invention an inner inflow gap 24 is provided in between the suction chamber and the drive actuator which connects the zone to the suction chamber.

Container closure

A closure for mounting on top of bottles and other containers includes a floating lid and a lid-retainer ring. The closure is configured to withstand a high pressure and high temperature sterilization process known as retort.

Method of sterilizing preform and method of sterilizing container made of resin

A sterilization process is performed on a preform or container made of resin after a corona discharge treatment is performed on an inner surface of the preform or container, the corona discharge treatment including applying a voltage produced in a corona discharge to an electrode that passes through an opening part of the preform or container, an insertion step of inserting the electrode to which the voltage is applied into the preform or container through the opening part, and a bottom part treatment step of treating an inner surface of a bottom part of the preform or container by bringing the electrode close to the bottom part until the corona discharge from the electrode changes discharge mode, and the sterilization process including a hydrogen peroxide supplying step of blasting a mist or gas of hydrogen peroxide solution or a mixture thereof to the preform or container.

The present invention relates to a container equipped with a closure system particularly adapted for aseptically filled fluid contents. The invention also relates to the use of said container in a method for detecting spoilage of its fluid content.

A CLOSURE FOR A CONTAINER AND A CONTAINER AND CLOSURE

A closure for a container is provided. The container has a side surface and a rim. The rim defines an opening and an opening axis perpendicular to the opening. The closure has a top portion for covering the opening; and a skirt portion, connected to the top portion, that surrounds a region of the side surface when the closure is connected to the container. The skirt portion has thread portions that cooperate with thread portions on the side surface to define movement of the closure relative the container in a direction parallel to the opening axis as the closure rotates about the opening axis relative to the container. The closure includes a liner extend across the top portion of the closure and at least partway across the skirt portion away from the top portion. The liner seals the opening of a container when the closure is connected to the container.
